TB-500 And All Its Wonders The Best Peptide You Havent Tried

2026-03-29 · 16:28 · 4 min read

TB-500 is one of my top five peptides, full stop. It heals injuries, calms inflammation, helps with hair, skin, and even brain health. If you've never run it, here's everything you need to get started.

Where TB-500 Comes From

TB-500 is a synthetic version of thymosin beta-4, a protein naturally produced in the thymus gland. Thymosin beta-4 was first isolated back in the 1960s.

Like most peptides, this one is just an amino acid sequence the body already makes. TB-500 was designed to mimic the healing properties of thymosin beta-4 so we can dose it directly.

It's been used widely in both human and veterinary medicine. I've never run it on an animal, but I know people who have with great results.

How It Works in the Body

TB-500 plays a big role in tissue repair and regeneration. Here's what it actually does.

It up-regulates cell-building proteins and growth factors. It promotes angiogenesis, the formation of new blood vessels. That's a huge piece of why it heals injuries so well. More blood vessels at the injury site means more oxygen and nutrients getting where they need to go.

It also modulates the inflammatory response, regulates actin (which is critical for cell movement), and helps stem cells differentiate. When you inject it subcutaneously into the belly fat, it has a systemic effect. It finds inflammation throughout the body and works on it.

It can also cross the blood-brain barrier. That's not super well studied yet, but I've been beating this drum for a while. Anti-inflammatory peptides like TB-500 and BPC-157 do wonders for neuroinflammation, whether that's traumatic brain injury, mold toxicity, or chronic gut-driven inflammation showing up in the brain.

The Benefits

  • Faster wound healing and shorter recovery time
  • Reduced inflammation, acute and chronic
  • Better tissue growth and repair
  • Improved joint mobility and flexibility
  • Fewer muscle spasms and cramps
  • Hair growth and better skin quality
  • Better endurance and strength
  • Reduced acute and chronic pain
  • Cardiovascular support through vascular cell repair
  • Potential neuroprotective benefits

A quick note on hair. Everyone talks about GHK-Cu for hair growth, and they're right to. But people forget about TB-500. A lot of hair loss comes from poor blood flow to the scalp, and TB-500 fixes that. Aging and disease in general track with reduced blood flow to tissue. This peptide directly addresses that.

On pain, if you can lean on TB-500 instead of reaching for ibuprofen or acetaminophen, you'll do your liver a massive favor over the long term.

Side Effects

Some people get temporary headaches after injecting. My theory is that it's because the peptide opens up new blood vessels, similar to how vasodilators can cause head pulsing. Nothing to worry about, but it can come with mild nausea or lightheadedness.

As with any peptide, there's a small risk of allergic reaction. Long-term studies are limited. TB-500 hasn't been around as long as BPC-157, but I'll take my chances on a natural amino acid sequence over a brand new pharmaceutical that just made it through Phase 3 trials.

It's not patentable, which is why big pharma isn't pushing it. Doesn't mean it doesn't work.

It can be banned in competitive sports, so check your governing body if that matters to you.

Dosage and How to Run It

I usually run TB-500 alongside BPC-157 at the same dose, but if you're running it solo, here's the breakdown.

Starter dose is around 1 mg per week to really notice an effect. You can go up to 10 mg per week, and 1 mg per day is a common protocol if you're working through an injury.

It's a subcutaneous injection. Common cycle length is 4 to 6 weeks. Don't go beyond 12 weeks straight. You'll get antibody buildup, where your immune system starts treating it as foreign and the effect fades.

I run 4 to 6 weeks on, 4 to 6 weeks off. That keeps the receptors fresh.

Reconstitution is simple. A 10 mg vial gets 2 mL of bacteriostatic water. For a 1 mg dose, draw 20 units on an insulin syringe.

Start low, go slow. You can even start at 250 mcg if you want to ease in, though for a real injury you'll want a higher dose.

When to Use It

Sports medicine is the obvious one. Faster injury recovery, better flexibility, less inflammation. I wish I had this when I was a competitive athlete.

If you're going into surgery and you have access to peptides, run TB-500. It will speed up the healing dramatically.

It's been investigated for arthritis and other chronic inflammatory conditions. For hair loss, I'd reach for this before I'd ever touch a DHT inhibitor like minoxidil or finasteride. Those mess with your hormones. TB-500 is just an amino acid sequence.

I've used it during fat loss phases too. It's not a fat-loss peptide, but the improved blood flow and reduced inflammation absolutely help you lean out.

It also has potential for cardiac repair and neurological conditions like Parkinson's, dementia, Alzheimer's, and traumatic brain injury. Still being studied, but the mechanism makes sense.

What to Stack It With

If I'm using TB-500 for healing, here are the three I'd pair it with.

BPC-157. These two go hand in hand. BPC-157 is incredible for tendons, ligaments, and muscle. Combined with TB-500, you get faster injury recovery and serious inflammation reduction.

GHK-Cu. The copper peptide. Renowned for skin regeneration. Stack it with TB-500 for skin elasticity, wrinkle reduction, and hair regrowth. If that's your goal, GHK-Cu and TB-500 are my two go-tos.

Tesamorelin or any growth hormone secretagogue. When you elevate growth hormone alongside TB-500, the healing effect compounds. One plus one plus one starts to equal five or eight, not three.

This combo is sometimes called the Wolverine stack. Shout out to Jay Campbell who's been one of the main people pushing peptide education.

My Take

TB-500 is easily in my top five peptides. Maybe top three. It heals injuries, fights inflammation, helps with hair and skin, supports the brain, and improves athletic performance. Given the toxic environment we all live in, this peptide is going to help almost anyone, regardless of age or health status. If you've been on the fence, take the plunge. You'll be glad you did.

Hey everybody, this is Hunter Williams. I hope you're doing amazing wherever you are at in the world. Today's video is going to be about TB 500 or thymacin beta 4, and it's going be everything you need to know to get started. So we're going talk about the origins of this peptide, the mechanisms, benefits, side effects, dosage, even if you stay to the end, some other peptides you can stack it with. That being said, if you are new here, welcome. My name is Hunter Williams. I talk about peptides, fat loss and hormone optimization. And if get any sort of value out of this video, the biggest favor that you could do for me is to like, share, comment, subscribe,

all that good stuff. If you like this information, I've got something called the peptide cheat sheet, which is down below and you can download it. It's basically everything from my brain about peptides on one sheet. So without further ado, I'm going to share my screen. We're going hop into TB 500 and find out why it's such an amazing peptide and how it can help us not only heal from injury, but just live an overall healthier, and more awesome life. So this is TB500, everything you need to know to get started. Where did TB 500 come from? Again, it's derived from thymus and beta-4, which is a protein originally found in the thimus gland of the body, and thamus beta 4 was first isolated in 1960s. TB-500 is synthetic form of a naturally occurring peptide in a body.

Again most peptides, not all, but most of them are naturally occuring in body They're just amino acid sequences. So it plays a crucial role in the body's healing process. And it was specifically designed to mimic the healing properties of thymus and beta four, which again is produced in thimus gland. This peptide obviously is involved in tissue repair and regeneration, Which is why it's so popular for people that have injuries or inflammation or arthritis or any of that stuff. It's been used extensively in research due to its regenerative properties. Again, like we said, it's very powerful in wound healing and not only wound-healing but and cellular repair.

It has unique molecular structure that facilitates its healing abilities and has also been a subject of interest in both human and veterinary medicine. So this has been used widely in animals. I've never used it on an animal personally, but I know people that have and have had great success. So what does it do in the body? How does that work in a body so basically aids in up regulating cell building proteins and growth factors. So it plays a role in angiogenesis, which is the formation of new blood vessels in body. And this is why it works so well for healing, because when we take it, it helps new Blood vessels form in The injury site,

Which is going to get more blood flow and more oxygen into the injury, thereby helping you heal faster and More efficiently. It also helps modulate the inflammatory response in the body, so it's going to help mitigate some of the inflammation that comes as a result of us being injured. It's also regulates actin, which is a vital component for cell movement and structure. And it also promotes cell migration to areas of injury for repair. So it helps get new cells into wound sites. It also enhances stem cell differentiation, which aids in tissue repair.

And it also has a systemic effect on the body's ability to heal. So if you inject it subcutaneously into the belly fat, it's going to help with whole body inflammation. It kind of helps work out where there's areas of inflammation in the Its actions are crucial in both acute and chronic injury repair. It aids in reducing fibrosis and scar tissue formation, which is huge, you know, if you have an injury to prevent scar-tissue buildup. And it can also cross the blood-brain barrier, indicating potential neurological applications. Now, this is not something that's studied well, but I've been banging this drum for a long time.

Anti-inflammatory peptides like TB-500, like PPC-147, do wonders for helping neuroinflammation, whether that traumatic brain injury, whether it's a mold toxicity, whether its any sort of inflammatory response that is happening in the brain. Oftentimes as a result of your diet, you know, from the comes from inflammation, the gut TV 500 can work wonders for that, which ultimately will lead you to feel better, have a better mood and better overall sense of wellbeing. So what are some of the benefits? So again, it accelerates wound healing and reduces recovery time.

So this is why we're a lot of people love these peptides is that it helps not only keep you from getting injured less frequently or more free. It keeps you form getting into more frequently, but if you do get hurt, accelerites the healing time, so the same injury that might take you six months and surgery to cover from may these peptides could help you not have surgery and then reduce the injury time or recovery time by half in some cases even more. It reduces inflammation which obviously is what helps speed the wound healing process which is beneficial for chronic diseases and injuries.

it enhances tissue growth and repair improves flexibility and joint mobility so if you're someone that suffers from stiff joints, achy joints arthritis things like that it's going to work really really well to help with that. It also prevents muscle spasms and cramps, which is huge. That's something I've suffered with in my life before. Um, it promotes hair growth and improves skin quality. So everyone talks about GHK for hair, growth, Which is definitely, uh, they're definitely right in doing so. But a lot of people forget about TB 500 because most hair loss, not all hair lost.

And this is a big debate, but a of hair losses caused from lack of blood flow to the scalp. Well, TB 500 helps with blood flow into areas that don't have bloodflow. If we know anything about disease and aging, it's a lack of blood-flow into the areas of the body that need it, and TB500 helps that, which is why people love it so much. Can also improve endurance and strength. So if you are looking for a performance enhancing agent to have in your arsenal, TV 500 is amazing. Now, most of these peptides are going to be banned by regulatory agencies and sports.

Check your governing authority. But if that's not something you have to deal with, it can be work wonders in terms of your athletic performance, which I can personally attest to myself. It definitely reduces acute and chronic pain sensation so not only does it help with the inflammation but it helps with pain so PPC 157 kind of does too but TB 500 works really well at reducing pain which if you can lean on this and then not use something like an ibuprofen or an acetaminophen, it's going to do you so much better in the long-term because those are so toxic to the liver.

It can also enhance cardiac health by supporting vascular cell repair. And again, like I said, has potential for neuroprotective benefits, which we definitely need in this day and age when we're exposed to so many toxins, so mold, and so toxicity out in environment that causes brain inflammation which leads to brain degeneration which is obviously not good. So are there any side effects? So some users report temporary headaches post administration. Now this is typically in my opinion, uh, because it does help with blood flow so much. If you look at a lot of agents or drugs that help the bloodflow, one of the side-effects is a headache because.

It's kind of like opening up new blood vessels. So you're kind get like a pulsing in your head, nothing to be concerned about, but, um, you know, and this can lead to a nausea and lightheadedness as well. Obviously, with any peptide, there's a potential risk for allergic reaction. We don't really have long-term studies on this. TB 500 has been around for a while, maybe not as long as BPC, but I'll take my chances if I'm going to take an amino acid versus some crazy pharmaceutical drug, just because it went through face-through trials and they were able to procure billions of dollars to bring it to market.

whereas TB 500 is not profitable because it can't be patented because there's a natural amino acid sequence. There's also the risk of possible abuse in competitive sports due to performance enhancing effects. Now I will say that's only a good thing. So when I was looking up side effects, it said that, but if you use this to help you improve your performance, that a's good and this is definitely one of the better things you would want to lean at as opposed to some more like toxic compounds that people would use for performance enhancement, i.e. anabolic steroids. So obviously the legal status for my country, obviously like I said too, this can be banned by some sports governing authorities.

There's always the potential with any peptide, I gotta put the disclaimer, it could interact with other medications or health conditions. Obviously it requires proper storage and handling. So you do need to make sure after you reconstitute it that you put it in the fridge to keep the molecules from defragmenting and decaying. Um, administration usually requires an injection. Obviously I have seen a world forms of TB 500. I personally haven't used them, but I had to use the injection, uh, to great benefit for myself. Um. Even if I wasn't hurt. So I'm going to talk about that in a second with the use casage and obviously always consult with your doctor.

the same amount of TB-500 as BPC-17, because typically I'm using them together. But the starter dose, if you were just using TB 500 by yourself or alone, to really notice an effect, you're going to need to start with like one milligram per week. You can go all the way up to 10 milligrams per weak, and you can even do up like 1 milligrams a day. That would be a very common dosage. So obviously it's administered through subcutaneous injections. And the dosages is obviously going vary depending on your body weight and condition. I am a bigger guy, so I need more than your average person or a woman.

Common cycle length is usually four to six weeks. I would say you really don't want to go longer than 12 weeks at a time because you get what's called antibody buildup, meaning that your body has an immune response to the peptide because it is a foreign substance and it just renders it less effective over time if it's constantly being introduced to body. Now, if you cycle off of it, so you go four to six weeks on, four or six week off, you'll always keep your receptors fresh and you will always get really good benefit from it. So I just make sure when I'm using myself, even if I am just using it for a maintenance dose to help, prevent inflammation or limit inflammation in my body,

I will use it over 46 weeks and then take four six to weeks off. So dosage should be adjusted according to your responsive tolerance and obviously make sure that you use proper injection technique. And as always, I say start low and go slow. So you could even start with as low as 250 micrograms and still get benefit. Now you might not notice that as much, and especially if you're injured, that's not going to do you as good as a larger dose would. But just kind of monitor it and monitor the benefits and side effects. Obviously too, like I said, it can be used for veterinary use and I can't really speak to what to use just because I've never used it on animals,

but for all intents and purposes, typically it's sold in a 10 milligram vial. So what you would do is put two milliliters of bacteriostatic water into the vile. And then for a one milligram dose, you just pull it out. Once the water is mixed into vio, 20 units on an insulin syringe for one milligrams dose. That's pretty much how you can get started. So what are the use cases like? When would I use this? So primarily it's, it using sports medicine for faster injury recovery. Obviously, if you have an injury, um, It can also help athletes. I would say, I wish I had access to this when I was a super competitive athlete because it would have made my life so much better.

Um, and helps athletes improving flexibility and reducing inflammation, uh, just to keep you lumber, especially if your contact sport, every sport. You know, you know it does not go for your flexibility, not good for inflammation. But, It's also very, very important that if you have a surgery, if have access to peptides and you can use them, that you would use this. I would it in conjunction with some other ones that I'll talk about in a second, but it is definitely really powerful in that sense. It has also been investigated for issues in chronic conditions like arthritis.

And it's been used on animals. Also, this is kind of like down the line, it has been looked at for skin and hair regeneration. Um, which I think, you know, if you were doing a hair regrowth protocol or something like that, where you're trying to stop hair, hair loss or like, that I would definitely use this before I wouldn't use a DHT, DH T inhibitor, like monoxidil or for an asteroid, um, because those are literally messing with your hormones, whereas this is just a natural supplement. Um, it definitely, uh, can benefit muscle building and body conditioning.

I can attest to that. Uh, I've used it in fat loss phases of my diet and it absolutely, um, helps shred you out and lean you. Now, is it going to be as good as something like a fat-loss peptide or, um you know hormones or growth hormone or something like that no but it it because of how it works to increase increase blood flow and limit inflammation um it's only going to help um obviously it has been used uh or and being investigated for possible uh cardiac repair benefits um again like i talked about because it can cross the blood brain barrier uh can help with neurological conditions

parkinson's dementia, Alzheimer's, traumatic brain injury, any of that stuff. It's going to be great for neuropathy. And you know, it's still being studied as we speak. So what are some of the peptides you can stack it with? So if I were using this for a specific purpose, like wound healing or injury repair, these are the three that I would pair with it. I talked about this in my PPC-157 video, but obviously BPC 157 and TB 500 kind of go hand in hand. Probably should make a video about both of those, Known for its powerful healing properties, it is commonly used along with TB 500 for enhanced injury recovery,

wound healing and reduction in inflammation. It's particularly noted for the effectiveness in healing tendons, ligaments and muscles. We also have GHKCU, which is the copper peptide and is renowned for it's skin regeneration properties. So when we combine this with TB 500, we can enhance skin and tissue repair, making a popular choice in cosmetic and dermatological treatments. If I was trying to improve my skin elasticity, improve wrinkles, regrow hair, anything like that, I would definitely, definitely definitely be using GHK and TB500.

Those would be my two go-to if that's what I'm working on. Um, and lastly, I've got it from Maryland. Now you could substitute this with any growth hormone, releasing peptide, um, growth hormones or cretogog or even growth form on itself. Um but if you were using this for, uh, wound repair, injury healing, or, even just overall like inflammation, when we elevate levels of growth on the body, it's only going to work that much better. So, Uh, when you put all of these together, you kind of get like a one plus one, plus. Equals five effect instead of four, uh, or even one.

One plus, one equals eight, because they work synergistically together. So you reduce inflammation, improve angiogenesis. Elevate levels of growth hormone in the body. All of those work really well together to just help with overall, you know, wound healing, if that's what you're trying to solve, or just being overall healthy, healthier in general, and improving the oxidation and aging process that we all so desperately want to avoid. So, um, You know you can use Testimonella and you use growth hormones, Really, those are the only other two.

There's a bunch of other ones out there that you could probably look into. But those would be my go to. So this is also known as the Wolverine stack Wolverines healing stock. Shout out to Jay Campbell, my friend of his business partner. That's one of the main promulgators of that I'm peptides in general. So, uh, that's all I have for today, guys on TB 500. Hopefully that was helpful to you. It was relevant to what you, what your needs are. And hopefully today after watching this video, you can get started with TB, 500 and take the nose dive and plunge and get start with it.

I think this is one of the best peptide. Definitely like in my top, top five peptids for sure. Um, absolutely top 10, I was going to say top ten, but I'll say maybe, maybe top 5, I would absolutely recommend and highly encourage the use of TB 500 regardless of age, health condition or whatever. It's only going to help, especially relative to the environment we live in today where we already are just bombarded with toxins up one side and down the other. So again, if you got value out of this video, thank you so much for tuning in. All I ask is you like, share, comment, subscribe to, help push it out in the algorithm and help grow the channel again.

And if want to stay in touch with me, sign up for the peptide cheat sheet, which will tell you everything you need to know. about peptides and also sign up for the supplement source list if you would like to know more about how to acquire these certain peptide. So thank you guys so much. I appreciate you much love and light and I will talk to you next time. Peace.
