Cardiogen The Game-Changing Peptide for Heart Health Longevity
Heart disease is the bane of pretty much everyone's existence in the modern world. So when I find a bioregulator that targets cardiac tissue specifically, I pay attention. Today I want to walk you through Cardiogen, what it does, what the data says, and how I'd actually use it.
What Cardiogen Actually Is
Cardiogen is a short-chain injectable peptide bioregulator designed to support heart health and improve cardiovascular function. Structurally, it's a tetrapeptide made of four amino acids (ALA, GLU, ASP, ARG), also called AEDR. That sequence is what gives it tissue-specific effects on cardiac cells.
Here's the simple version. Peptides are chains of amino acids. Arrange them in a specific order and they have specific effects on the body. This particular sequence works on heart tissue.
What I love about bioregulators compared to peptides like BPC-157, GHK-Cu, or TB-500 is the simplicity. Those peptides have wide use cases and people get stuck in analysis paralysis. Bioregulators are simple. Cardiogen is for the heart. That's it.
Where It Came From
Like most bioregulators, this traces back to Russia and Professor Vladimir Khavinson. His team developed Cardiogen in the 1980s after isolating short peptides from animal cardiac tissue using chromatography-mass spectrometry.
It belongs to the cytogen class of synthetic peptides, each targeting a specific organ. In the Soviet era, bioregulators were tested on military personnel, cosmonauts, and Olympic athletes for stress resilience and recovery. Cardiogen specifically was used to prevent age-related heart problems, manage cardiovascular disease, and improve recovery after cardiac events.
How It Works
When you inject Cardiogen, it enters cardiac tissue and can penetrate cell nuclei. It acts as a gene expression modulator. This is where bioregulators separate themselves from other peptides. They actually work on gene expression and reverse aging-related expression patterns in the organ they target.
Think of it as a foreman walking into your heart and telling the cells to switch on repair pathways.
Here's what it does at the cellular level.
It boosts protein production, increasing structural proteins by two to five-fold. It promotes regeneration of cardiomyocytes and limits scar tissue formation. It inhibits cardiomyocyte apoptosis by decreasing p53 protein levels, which preserves heart muscle cells.
Downstream, it improves endothelial function, enhances nitric oxide release, supports vascular flexibility, and stimulates cardiac progenitor cells. A big driver of heart disease and aging is stiffening of arterial walls. Cardiogen, paired with healthy diet and lifestyle, helps reverse that.
What the Research Shows
A 2009 Russian study on rat heart tissue cultures (young and old) showed Cardiogen stimulated cardiomyocyte proliferation in both age groups. Treated cells showed reduced p53 levels, indicating lower apoptosis. Younger and older tissue both responded well, which is interesting because some bioregulators like Epitalon don't show much effect on younger tissue.
Another 2009 study looked at senescent rats with M1 sarcoma. Cardiogen had a geroprotective effect, increasing tumor cell apoptosis and inhibiting tumor growth dose-dependently. So it reduced apoptosis in healthy heart cells while increasing it in malignant cells. Pretty cool.
A 2012 study from Khavinson's lab found Cardiogen enhanced cytoskeletal protein expression by two to five-fold and nuclear matrix proteins by two to three-fold.
The most impressive study looked at rats with induced myocardial infarction. Cardiogen treatment cut post-heart-attack mortality by roughly three-fold compared to controls. Treated rats had smaller necrotic zones, preserved more glycogen in heart muscle, and showed mitochondrial protective effects.
In Russia over the last 25 years, Cardiogen has been used as an adjunct in heart disease, high blood pressure, angina, and post-heart-attack rehab. Patients reported improved exercise tolerance, more stable heart rhythms, reduced angina attacks, and better blood pressure control.
Safety Profile
This is what I love about bioregulators. Decades of use in Russia show no serious side effects or toxicity at recommended doses. No immune reactions, no allergies, no dependency.
It makes sense biologically. Once broken down, Cardiogen yields naturally occurring amino acids that the body reuses. Possible mild injection site reactions, no significant systemic side effects, and long-term studies show no cancer-causing effects.
Honestly, I'd feel better taking this than most supplements I see on Amazon. Just source it from a reputable place.
Dosing Protocol
Cardiogen typically comes as a 20 mg lyophilized powder vial. Reconstitute with 2 mL of bacteriostatic water, which gives you 10 mg per mL. To get a 1 mg dose, draw 10 units on an insulin syringe.
Standard injectable dose is 1 to 2 mg per day, subcutaneous. Some people do 5 mg per week split into two 2.5 mg doses for four weeks.
Here's how I'd think about it.
If you're already healthy and using it for performance or anti-aging, 1 mg per day for 30 days, twice per year.
If you're moderately unhealthy or have early cardiovascular concerns, 2 mg per day for 30 days, two to three times per year.
If you've had a heart attack or stroke and are working on recovery, 2 to 5 mg per day for 60 days, two to three times per year.
Time of day doesn't really matter. The good news with overdosing is it'd become cost prohibitive long before you'd hit a problematic dose.
Cycling and Stacking
Don't run this continuously. Use 30, 60, or 90-day cycles, then take at least the same amount of time off. Effects are cumulative over time.
For stacking, I'd pair Cardiogen with the oral peptide complex Kilo Heart for more bang for your buck. Epitalon is another good addition for systemic anti-aging benefits. I also like Dr. Nathan Bryan's NO2U for nitric oxide support.
Don't expect to feel anything dramatic on day two. Significant changes typically take one to three months to show up.
My Take
For heart health, blood pressure, or anything cardiovascular, Cardiogen is one of my first-line options. Pair it with diet, lifestyle changes, and maybe a microdose of a GLP-1 and you've got a solid protocol.
Do I have heart disease? Not to my knowledge. But I get excited about running these in the background to see if there's a performance benefit. Is it going to outperform something like BAM15 or SLU-PP-332 for athletic performance? Probably not. But it's affordable, low-risk, and potentially remodels heart tissue, which is impressive for under a thousand dollars worth of product.
For anyone dealing with heart disease, high blood pressure, or the kind of markers that shorten lifespan, I highly recommend Cardiogen.

Hey everybody, this is Hunter Williams. I hope you're doing amazing wherever you are in the world. Today's video is going to be all about Cardiogen, which is the injectable by a regulator for your heart. Believe you can find it in oral formulation too, but most of the research places that you will find sell it as an injectible version. And what I'm really excited about is one, to jump into some data and mechanisms behind CardioGen and how it works and It can be to our world because obviously heart disease and cardiovascular ill and malaise is so prevalent in the world today.
What's really cool is as we drill down into a lot of these bioregulators, the mechanisms are very simple and very effective. And if you know me, you'll know I'm all about simplifying things, making them as easy to understand as possible. And that's what I am going to do with Cardiogen. So whereas with a lot of peptides, if we look at something like PPC or GHKCU, TB500, some of these other peptide, they are powerful and they have very wide use cases. And a lot of people get overwhelmed with all the different things they can do, and then they just kind of go into an analysis paralysis mode.
But when we look at healing specific organ systems in the body, what's cool is bioregulators. It's pretty simple. Cardiogen is for the heart. That helps work the cardiovascular system to improve and get better. So that's what pretty neat and I'm excited to do. so cardiogen it's just one amongst many of the oral and injectable bi-regulators that I am going to be doing tons of deep dives on through the remainder of this year and likely beyond as more and more things come available. All right, I'm Hunter Williams and today is all about Cardiogen, the heart bioregulator. So it should be relatively simple. Let's jump into it. Just as a little bit of background introduction, CardioGen is a short chain injectable peptide bi-regulator designed to support heart health and improve
cardiovascular function. As far as the structure itself, it is tetrapeptide and contains the amino acid cinquits ALA, GLU, ASP, ARG, also called AEDR. And this is what is going to exert its tissue-specific effect on cardiac cells. So before you ever get too worried or confused or complicated with those things, just understand that peptides and peptide bioregulators are chains of amino acids that we can align into a certain Order and a certain frequency in order to have specific effects on the body in this case This specific amino
acid sequence is going to work on heart tissue So lots of people including biohackers and longevity enthusiasts are interested in it for the ability to restore myocardial cells enhance cardiac performance and even positively influence lifespan and as I mentioned obviously heart disease is the bane of everyone's existence in the world today, so It was originally developed as part of an organ targeted peptide therapy program and has gained attention as a novel tool to optimize heart function, improve exercise performance and tolerance, and complement traditional cardiovascular treatment.
So let's look at a little bit of the history of cardiogen. As with most of these bioregulators, it goes back to Russia and Professor Vladimir Kavansin, this one was developed in the 80s by him and his crew. And alongside this, they were able to identify organ-specific short peptides that could switch on gene repair programs in aging tissue. So specifically, Cardian Sequence AEDR, like I mentioned, was originally isolated from animal cardiac tissue, and they detected this tetrapeptide in extracts
of heart muscle using advanced chromatomass spectrometry technique. It was then developed into a supplement, an injectable therapeutic aimed at regenerating the heart muscle. And as far as the class of by regulators, this one belongs to the cytogen class, of synthetic peptides, which each target a specific organ. It was created to normalize cardiac function by replenishing deficient regulatory peptide in a heart tissue that come from stress, trauma, aging, all those things.
In the Soviet area, bioregulators were tested for military personnel, cosmonauts and astronauts and elite athletes in the Olympics, and they were used to enhance stress resilience and recovery. And by restoring organ function in older individuals and those under extreme conditions, they showed promise in improving health span, which is just basically our lifespan plus feeling good. It's not worthy of having a long life if half of that life is miserable and cold and shivering and frugal, right? So, cardiogen was in particular used to treat health and prevent age-related heart problems, manage cardiovascular disease,
improve recovery after cardiac stress or injury or adverse cardiac events, and over decades of research, The teams from Russia introduced dozens of these as I talk about on my channel with cardiogen emerging as the dedicated heart peptide among 21 other bioregulators. So let's start to look at the mechanisms of action. At a cellular level, when we inject cardiogenic ourselves, It enters into cardiac tissues and can even penetrate cell nuclei acting as a gene expression modulator.
And I think that's where, when we look at bioregulators, especially relative to some other peptides, where the magic really comes in, is because they actually work on gene expressions and reversing the expression of genes as it relates to aging and expressing a more youthful state. in the specific organ that they're working on. So it serves as a signaling molecule that tells heart cells to activate repair pathways. It's kind of going in and acting as foreman in your heart and saying, okay, guys, we've got to reverse and go back to where we were before because we're
under some damage right here and here's the tools to do so. First, it boosts protein production, so it increases structural proteins by two to five-fold supporting cell architecture and stability specifically in a heart. It also promotes regeneration and limits fibrosis, so it enhances cardiomyocyte proliferation and reduces scar tissue formation, which obviously happens after a cardiac event or even leading up to one. It also inhibits cardiomyocyte apoptosis, decreases p53 protein levels, and preserves heart muscle cells.
So basically that means it prevents the cell death of some of the heart tissue. In terms of, the downstream effects, so in doing so, what does it do? It improves endothelial function, which just enhances blood flow and vasodilation throughout the vascular networks in the body. It supports endithelium health, So it enhances flexibility and releases nitric oxide. When we look at heart disease and aging, a lot of times the main cause of that is the stiffening of the arterial wall and cardiogen alongside healthy diet lifestyle,
supplementation, all those things, helps improve that. It's also going to stimulate cardiac progenitor cells, which helps with the regeneration from the damage and disrepair that has been going on in a lot of people's hearts. And then again, to one of the bigger things, it activates regenerative genes and it switches on regenerate mechanisms to help the heart repair itself as opposed to just masking it with medication. or blood pressure medication or cholesterol medication. So, when we look at it, it works on gene expression and protein synthesis, so it activates the production of proteins that reinforce cell structure and survival,
like cytoskeletal elements. It also enables cells to withstand stress and avoid apoptosis. We also have the cardiac cell renewal, which encourages the growth of cardiomyocytes and possibly heart progenitor cells leading to tissue regeneration in the myocardium. Again, this is something that as we age, as We induce stress and trauma into the heart through poor diet lifestyle and aging, we need this. And then we also have anti-fibrotic remodeling. So it reduces collagen scar deposition, improving the elasticity and function of cardiac tissue post-injury.
It also improves vascular function, so it promotes better circulation. And then we'll help with lower blood pressure and improve oxygen supply. So a lot of times people ask me, Hey, is there a peptide for high blood You've got to look at diet and lifestyle and training and what you're eating. So when we sum all these together, it makes cardiogen particularly intriguing for not only biohackers seeking to heal or strengthen our cardio system,
but for people that are working through chronic disease. What I did is I combed the internet to see if we have any sort of clinical data or at least amalgamations of data. From Russia, we have a 2009 study that looked at rat heart tissue cultures, young and old. And in this study, cardiogen greatly stimulated cardiomyocyte proliferation in both young an old cardiac tissue and treated cells with cardiogens showed reduced p53 levels indicating lower apoptosis in heart muscle cells.
and even aging cells responded with improved growth and survival. So young and old responded good to this, which is cool because when we look at some of the bioregulators and younger tissue, for instance epitalon, we don't really see any difference in younger tissues in humans or animals, but an older tissue does amazing things. But I think when you look something like cardiogen, even for someone in their 20s, they could potentially benefit at least from a performance enhancement standpoint even if they're already healthy. We also have a 2009 study that came out of a Russian block And it looked at senescent rats with M1 sarcoma, which is basically a tumor model.
So, cardiogen injections had an inexpensive geroprotective effect against cancer, I thought was pretty interesting. It increased tumor cell apoptosis and caused hemorrhagic necrosis in sarcoma tissue, inhibiting tumor growth dose-dependently. So not only this wasn't due to direct toxicity, but specific mechanism via the tumor's blood supply, hinting that cardiogen can actually selectively trigger cell death in abnormal cells. And this also suggests that Cardiogen reduces apoptosis and healthy art cells, by an increase in apop tosis and malignant cells which is obviously two
favorable things. So, not did it prevent the apobtosis of healthy cells? It also induced apoptosis of the tumor cells, which I thought was pretty interesting, especially for something that's working on vascular tissue. 2012 study from Cabinson and his crew. looked at mouse embryonic fibroblast culture and in cardiogen enhanced expression of cytoskeletal proteins which were active in tubulin and vimentin by two to five X and nuclear matrix proteins by 2 to 3 X in cells. So this corresponds with increased cell proliferation and viability and they concluded that the known cardioprotective activity of cardiogin is due to
its ability to activate protein synthesis in cell which in turn stimulates regeneration and reduces apoptosis. We also have a study from Kevin's lab in the 2010s, and it looked at rat myocardial infarction. So in rats with an induced heart attack, so they induced mice with a heart-attack, cardiac treatment cut post-myocartial-infarction, which is post heart attacks, mortality by around three-fold compared to controls. Treated rats had smaller necrotic dead tissue zones in their heart and preserved more glycogen in heart muscle.
Cardiogen also showed a mitochondria protective effect and stimulated repair process leading to markedly improved cardiac function and survival after the heart attack. So just to show you what it was doing again, this is a rodent model, so we can't always translate, but You have rats, they're induced with art attack. One of the groups does not get anything, and the other group gets cardiogen. And the cardiagen improved mortality rates by three times, meaning that three time the amount of rats lived that took cardiogen,
which is pretty cool, also to see the mitochondrial protective effect post-injury. And then just when we look in the last 25 years in clinical use in Russia, cardiogen has been used in adjunct in heart disease, high blood pressure, angina, and post heart attack. Rehabilitation in Russia, according to clinicians and manufacturer data, patients giving cardiogen experience improved exercise tolerance, more stable heart rhythms, so we can look at the arrhythmia effect there, reduced angina attacks, and better blood pressure control.
And so in post-infarction patients, it replicated recovery of the myocardium, speeding up the restoration of affected heart muscle, And although it's been used in Russia for plenty of years, we here in the United States don't have a lot of data on it. But hopefully that would change. So let's talk about the safety profile real quick. And what I love about bioregulators is peptides, generally speaking, are safe. Obviously we can get into dosages and what dose might be deleterious for people. When we look at bi oregulars, if there was anything that had virtually zero side effects and all benefit, it would be bi regulators.
Let's just look One of the attractive features of bioregulators, like I said, is their remarkable safety profile. So they are just strings of amino acids, similar to what we might get from digesting a piece of protein. It's just a range in a certain sequence that has a different effect. But in composition, it's not that much different. According to the decades of use in Russia, cardigen has no known serious side effects or toxicity when used at the recommended dosage. It does not provoke immune reactions or allergies in most people and does cause any sort of dependency.
And it makes sense biologically. Once broken down, it yields naturally occurring amino acids that the body can reuse. So caution is warned. But when we look at the side effects, here's what we have. We could have mild injection site reactions. I haven't personally experienced this with any of the injectable bioregulators. Some of them may sting sometimes. There's no significant systemic side effects. And then obviously, too, we just don't have any data in pregnant or breastfeeding women. Hopefully that's not something that is of paramount concern if you are pregnant and breast feeding, that you would be looking at heart disease,
but we don t have data on that. In terms of long-term effects, Long-term studies indicate that it has a normalizing effect with no evidence of cancer causing side effects. And again, when we look at peptides, that's usually people's big bugaboo, but we don't see that. So to sum up, Cardiogen is considered very safe and well tolerated, and I would feel better about taking it than even most of the supplements that I see on Amazon. You just want to make sure that you're sourcing it from the right places and doing your due diligence there. Let's look the dosage. I did include the oral capsules on here.
And I will mention this in a second, but there is an alternative called kilo heart. That is the oral formulation that is easier to source. There is in oral formation of cardiogen, But cart kilo hearts seems to have more clinical efficacy from an oral standpoint. But when we look at that, cardiogenic is available as capsules, usually 20 milligrams of peptide per pack of 60 capsuls with each Capsule containing a small fraction of the total so typical regimen if you're using the capsules is one in the morning one In the evening for 30 days, so you would do that usually repeat two to three times a year Depending on the severity of The issue you are treating and then you Are obviously going
to want to change your diet lifestyle and everything to get the best use now when we're talking about injectable Which is really the purpose of this video? Typically comes in allophilized power in a 20 milligram vial. That's where we sell it. But you typically are going to put two milliliters of water into that vile. Then that's going make it one milligram per, excuse me, 10 milligrams per milliliter. So 10 units you would use one, to get one milligrams you'd use 10 unit. doing public math. I usually am really good at public map, but let me just say that again, two milliliters of water into a 20 milligram vial is now 10 milligrams per milliliter.
And then to get a one milligram dose, you would do 10 units on an insulin syringe. There, that's a little bit clear. But what you typically do is around one to two milligrams for injection. You could also go a little bit higher. Some people would even do five milligrams per week split into two, 2.5 milligram doses and do that for four weeks. I would say it kind of depends on the severity. So there's no cut and dry protocol. For someone that is relatively concerned, maybe it's not the severe of a heart attack or stroke, but you're a bit more unhealthy than the average person,
I'd do two milligrams a day for 30 days. And then I would cycle that two to three times per year. If you're just looking for the performance enhancing benefits or already healthy, and maybe you were just to do something to add into your anti-aging protocol, you could probably get away with one milligram a day for 30 days and then do that maybe twice a year and I think that would cover your bases. And you are just going to inject subcutaneously. You could either do the morning or the night. It doesn't really matter. But that's what I will do there. So again, use your discretion. I thing for someone with a heart attack or stroke that they have worked on, two milligrams to five milligrams per day and do that for 60 days and two to
three times per year. So again, just use discretion, but again the good thing is when we look at overdosing these, it would probably become cost prohibitive before you would ever get into a dose that wouldn't be that well. Now, when you look stacking these you could potentially stack cardiogen with other bi-regular peptides like epitalon. One thing that I would recommend to people is to actually get the oral form of kilo heart, which is a natural cardiac peptide complex, and use it alongside cardiogen to get to the most bang for your buck.
And then obviously epitalon 2 is the pineal gland peptid and has systemic anti-aging benefits. So if you were going to do those, I'd do that. You could also use nitric oxide enhancers. I really like one from Dr. Nathan Bryan called NO2U, but that's what you do. And then we look at duration of use. Again, it varies depending on the severity of the issue, But more significant changes may take one to three months to become evident. So typically what your going to use, use this for at least 30 days. Like I said, if it's more severe, you'd go up to 60 and maybe even 90 days, but you want to give it at least that long to really see any changes.
So just because you don't feel anything the second injection doesn't mean it's not working. Again, just always realize more isn't better. This isn' something that you wanna run continuously throughout the year. You definitely wanna do it in 30, 60 or 90 day cycles tops and then come on atleast for the amount of time that your off. If you're on for 30 days, I recommend longer, but at least 30 days off. If you were on for 60 days, take atleast 60 day off, and if you're on 90 days take 90 day's off and the effects are going to be cumulative over time. And so if your even doing it for sixty to ninety days. Take at leas that time off then use it two to three more times throughout the year.
What's cool about this is again we're not looking at something that is super expensive. I think most of these are gonna be in the seventy to a hundred dollar range per bottle. And so you're talking about doing even a higher dose. You could get away with probably under a thousand dollars spent on something that potentially could remodel the heart tissue, which is pretty impressive, if you ask me. So that is it for the slides. And that, is everything you should know about cardiogen. to use. And I would say in terms of heart health or blood pressure or anything along those lines, this would be one of my first line defenses.
Of course, I will pair it with diet and lifestyle changes. I'll probably pair with a micro dose of a GLP-1 to improve everything there. But I think when we look at what this stuff does, it's becoming increasingly clear to me that some of these injectable bioregulators are extremely powerful in what they do. And for someone like myself, do I have heart disease? Not to my knowledge that I would imagine based on any of the blood markers or anything that used to evaluate myself. But I kind of get excited about using these to see if there's any ways we can optimize performance.
And I know that people are using this to enhance exercise performance and do those things. Now, it's going to be better than something like BAM15 and SLUPP332 from a performance standpoint. No, not really. However, it's one thing that we could run in the background that really doesn't cost that much that potentially could just help alongside everything else. So I'm excited from it for that standpoint, but for people that are experiencing heart disease, high blood pressure, any of those things that they know are precursors to potentially ending their life shorter than it should be ended, I highly recommend Cardiogen.
And again, it's relatively affordable depending on where you source it from. So hopefully that was helpful. I look forward to your feedback on this one. Let me know how this was.
