How Lipo-C Injections Boost Fat Loss and Energy
I've been using Lipo-C for a long time. It's not a peptide, it's not a hormone, and it's not the latest hype like GLP-1s. But for someone training right, eating right, and living an optimized lifestyle, this stuff works. Here's everything I know about it.
What Lipo-C Actually Is
Lipo-C is a lipotropic injection. It's a blend of amino acids, vitamins, and other compounds designed to promote fat loss, support metabolism, and boost energy.
You'll see it at med spas and weight loss clinics under various names. The core purpose is the same. Help your body break down fat and improve liver function, which feeds back into more fat loss.
It's used in medical weight loss protocols, but anyone wanting better energy and a healthier metabolism can benefit.
The Ingredients
Most Lipo-C products use what's called the MIC blend plus a few extras.
Methionine. An essential amino acid that supports fat breakdown in the liver. Helps prevent fat accumulation and supports healthy liver function. Big deal for anyone at risk of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.
Inositol. A sugar that influences insulin sensitivity and fat metabolism. Also supports mental clarity and nerve function.
Choline. Crucial for lipid metabolism and liver function. Helps transport fat efficiently for energy use.
L-Carnitine. I'm a huge fan of this one. It transports fatty acids into the cells to convert stored fat into energy.
Vitamin B12. Essential for energy, red blood cell production, and metabolic function. This is why Lipo-C is usually red.
Some blends also throw in B6. The list above is what you'll see in most standard Lipo-C products.
How It Actually Works
The ingredients work synergistically. One plus one equals three.
Methionine, choline, and inositol prevent fat buildup in the liver and help mobilize stored fat. L-carnitine then transports those fatty acids into the mitochondria where they get oxidized and converted into energy.
Vitamin B12 raises your basal metabolic rate, so you burn more calories at rest.
The whole stack also supports detoxification. We're exposed to a lot in the modern world. Glyphosate, environmental toxins, dietary junk. This helps your liver clear it out faster.
Why It Matters During a Cut
Here's something most people miss. When you cut calories, your metabolism slows down. Your body wants homeostasis.
If you go from 4,000 calories to 2,000, your body says "okay, we live on 2,000 now" and shuts stuff down to match. Suddenly your restricted intake becomes your new metabolism. Fat loss stalls.
Lipo-C helps keep the metabolism firing during a deficit. That's why I think it's almost necessary for a serious cut.
The Other Benefits
You'll feel more energetic and focused, especially in a calorie-restricted state or while fasting.
Liver function improves. Less fat accumulation in the liver means more efficient fat metabolism overall.
Choline and inositol support brain health. Mood, mental clarity, cognitive function.
Honestly, injectable choline is one of the best nootropics I've ever used. It doesn't stim you out. It just makes you feel really good.
Side Effects
Not many. The usual stuff applies.
Allergic reactions can happen at the injection site, depending on product quality and hygiene. Some people get mild nausea or upset stomach. I never have.
Injection site pain is real with carnitine. It stings more than most things. I think you build a tolerance to the discomfort over time. It doesn't bother me anymore.
Some people report mood changes or headaches in the first few days. Usually that's the metabolic adjustment phase. Your body is finally speeding up after years of running slow. That can spike blood pressure briefly and cause headaches.
None of these ingredients at Lipo-C doses will cause real damage. These are amino acids and vitamins. They're helpful by nature.
What the Research Says
A 2015 study on methionine confirmed it's crucial for breaking down fats and preventing fat buildup in the liver.
A 2010 study on choline found it plays an essential role in preventing fatty liver and supporting fat metabolism.
Inositol has been shown to improve insulin sensitivity, which aids fat loss.
A 2016 meta-analysis of nine clinical trials found L-carnitine led to significant reductions in body weight, BMI, and fat mass in overweight individuals.
A 2013 paper in the New England Journal of Medicine highlighted B12's role in energy metabolism. Injectable B12 gives you a much bigger boost than oral. I take oral B12 daily, but the injection hits different.
Dosing and Injection Tips
Every product is a little different. Typical concentrations:
- Methionine and choline, 25 to 100 mg per mL
- L-carnitine, 50 to 200 mg per mL
- Vitamin B12, 500 to 1,000 mcg per mL
I do intramuscular injections. You can do subcutaneous, but the carnitine tends to leave a bump.
I use a 28 gauge half-inch insulin needle, one milliliter. You'd think a smaller needle like a 30 or 31 gauge would hurt less. It actually hurts more because the carnitine is thick and pushing it through a tiny needle creates more discomfort and little skin nodules.
Timing wise, I use it pre-fasted cardio or pre-workout. You can dose it daily, even up to three times a day if you don't mind the injections.
In my experience there's no tolerance buildup. You don't have to cycle on and off like a peptide.
It doesn't keep me up at night, but some people say B12 or carnitine wakes them up. Experiment and see.
My Take
Lipo-C is something I always have on hand. I don't use it every single day because I'm always experimenting with new things, but it earns a permanent spot in the rotation.
For anyone training hard, cutting, or just wanting to keep their metabolism humming year round, this is a quiet workhorse. It's not flashy. It just works.
Plus, the longevity angle is real. These ingredients support liver health, fat metabolism, and waste clearance. All things you want firing as you age. No cycling required.

Hey everybody, this is Hunter Williams. I hope you're doing amazing wherever you are in the world. Today's video is going to be my comprehensive review slash guide of lipo C. So I've actually been using this for a long time. It goes by many different names from many places, but the prevailing I guess trade name or brand name that you will hear is Lipo C because that's what a lot of weight loss clinics or med spas and the like will call it. But it's actually just a very simple blend of some vitamins and amino acids that can use to enhance fat loss.
And again, I've been using this for a long time. I love it It works really amazing. And again, it's not a peptide. It's a hormone. Um, and it is not one of those things that's like super, uh, all the rage these days, like GOP one peptides and stuff. I mean, I it it, not going to have as pronounced for profound effect, but for someone that is training, right. Diet and right, um, lives the optimized lifestyle, so to speak. Uh, this can be really, really good. and again I use it all time. So today I'm just going give you my guide to it on what it.
Is and also to how you can use. in your life to enhance fat loss, whether you're already lean and you want to try out or lean out a little bit more, or you need help losing a hundred pounds or more. So that's what we're going to go over today. Before I jump into the slides, as always, check out the peptide cheat sheet down below, teach you everything you needed to know about peptides and how to get started with them. Check out fully optimized health. which is the most amazing biohacking community on the planet that Jay Campbell and I have together. And then also to check out Testosterone, the God molecule is my first book and foray into being an author.
So check that out on Amazon and the link should be in the video below. Um, so without further ado, I'm gonna share my screen and we are going to learn today about lipo C. All right, I am Hunter Williams and today we are going to discover and learn about Lipo-C. I'm just going go over the mechanisms, benefits, side effects and dosage and also just my own personal experience with it. So what is Lipoc? So basically it's a lipotropic injection that contains a blend of amino acids, vitamins and other compounds designed to promote fat loss.
metabolism and energy production. So the primary purpose of it is to aid in the breakdown of fat and enhance liver function, which is also going to aide in a bet in fat loss and is often used as part of a medical weight loss protocol. Like I said, a lot of med spas and weight-loss clinics give this to their patients, but it can also benefit individuals looking to improve energy levels, boost metabolism, and just maintain a healthier lifestyle in general. What are the ingredients? The first one, you hear this a lot, this MIC blend, mic blend.
So it's got methionine, which is an essential. amino acid that supports the breakdown of fats in the liver. So this prevents fat accumulation and promotes healthy liver function. Also too, if someone is obese, a lot of times they may be at risk for what is called non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. And this is going to help potentially stem the tides or reverse that if somebody's experiencing it. The next ingredient is inositol. This is a sugar that influences insulin sensitivity and fat metabolism. It supports mental clarity and nerve function, And then it has choline.
Choline is a nutrient crucial for lipid metabolism and liver function. It helps transport fat efficiently for energy use. Then we have L-carnitine, which is obviously I'm a huge fan of. Its responsible for transporting fatty acids into cells for and convert stored fat into energy. So it helps burn that stored that. And then lastly, it has vitamin B12, which is essential for energy levels, red blood cell production, and overall metabolic function. You'll also see some of these blends have vitamin b6, but for the most part, if you hear Lipo-C, these are what you're going to see.
Uh, you may see other products that have other things in there, But these were kind of the staples of what is in Lipoc. How does this actually work to help us burn fat and stay leaner? So the first is through fat mobilization. So methionine, choline, and inositol all work synergistically together. And that's where the beauty of these products are, is they all kind of have a synergy together, where it's like a one plus one equals three effect. But they help prevent fat buildup in the liver, like I talked about, promote the mobilisation of stored fat that you have in your body.
Um, and then it also helps take that fat and convert it into energy. So the L carnitine helps transport fatty acids into the mitochondria where they are then oxidized or gobbled up and converted into. Energy. And then it's going to convert those energy and then the process of doing so help us one be more efficient, but then burns that. Um, it also supports liver function for efficient fat metabolism and detoxification of harmful substances of which we are exposed to many.
So obviously they're just living in the modern world. We're exposed. A lot of. If your diet isn't 100% on point all the time, this is just going to accelerate the detoxification of a lot of that stuff that we're exposed to like toxins, glyphosate, any of the stuff. And then it's going enhance metabolism and energy. So the vitamin B12 is huge for this. If you noticed, vitamin V12, it is often red colored or is always red-colored if you see in the liquid or injectable form. That's why I have the red theme today. But vitamin b12 and lipotropic increase our base metabolic rate, so it actually increases the amount of calories that we burn at rest for higher energy
levels and efficient fat burning. So that's the mechanism. Very simple, not super complex there, but what are the benefits? So obviously going to help with weight loss. In doing all that, it's going help promote fat-burning, reduce fat storage, and ultimately prevent fat buildup in the liver. We're going have more energy, we're gonna feel more energetic and focused, especially on a calorie-restricted diet. or if we're in a calorie restricted state like fasting, it's going to improve our metabolism. So it helps support healthy metabolic function.
And I'll take an aside a second and explain that a lot of people in the process of losing weight, their metabolism starts to slow down because they're, in this calorie-restricted state. Using something like a Lipo-C is almost necessary to help keep the metabolism firing, to the weight loss process go. Because again, you think about calorie restriction, the body always goes to homeostasis. So you go from eating 4,000 calories, 2,00 calories. The body's like, hey, I was living on 4 thousand calories and now I'm only living at 2 thousand. We got to shut down a lot of stuff and go back to living a 2 000 calories And in doing so, you're just not going to burn as much fat because your calorie
restricted amount actually becomes your metabolism now. We also have liver detoxification. So like I talked about, we have a lot of the buildup of fat in the liver. It helps prevent liver disease by promoting fat metabolism and preventing fat from accumulating in liver, which obviously inhibits fat loss. And then also to the inositol and choline are known to support brain health, which can improve mood, mental clarity, and overall cognitive function. I love cholene. Everyone, a lot of times asks me like, what are the best in the tropic peptides and stuff? And honestly, some of the past like nootropic or one of best nootypic things I've used is injectable cholin.
And the reason is because it doesn't stem you out. It isn't overstimulatory. it just makes you feel really good. So I loved injectible choli in this case. In the form of Liposi, you can also use it by itself. Are there any side effects? Not really. But as always, You can have allergic reactions to any injection site. And again, that goes to the quality of the product, how you injected, and then hygiene around the injection. Some people will report mild digestive discomfort, such as nausea or upset stomach, if they're not used to this.
I've never had that. Yeah, obviously injection site pain, because of the carnitine, typically carnotine is a little bit more painful than injection. It can cause discomfort bruising or redness. Have experienced that many times with carnatine. And I think you probably get to the point where you just become less sensitive to that, cause it doesn't really bother me anymore. That also depends on like what kind of needle you're using and everything. There are mood changes for some people, and I think this just goes to some if they're really not healthy.
Their body's going through a metabolic adjustment phase, which can cause them to be a little bit more irritable or whatever. So with the brain effects of cholineurinositol, They're almost always good, but again, if you're affecting the brain, that can affect some people's mood. So again I just prefaced this because I've heard it all. I heard from so many people. Definitely like you experienced this reaction, so I try to get this all out there so you guys just have your bearings about you. And in some cases, people experience headaches, especially if they're sensitive to increased metabolic activity.
Again, a lot of people start on peptides or something like Lypocene and they are like, I have a headache and I can't sleep. But again that's this kind of like metabolic adjustment phase where for the first time, their body is actually like increasing their metabolism instead of slowing it down. And that causes like increased blood pressure, which causes them to have headaches and everything. So again, that's very par for course that I just want people to understand like none of these ingredients, especially in the dose of any product that you would have as Lipo-C are going to do anything to really like cause a lot of damage.
These are only helpful, helpful things. Again, in especially the case of amino acids. So I've got some of the research here. I'm not going to read all of this out, but basically around some these ingredients. A 2015 study on methionine found that it's crucial for breaking down fats and preventing fat buildup in the liver, like we talked about. Obviously this is huge for Lipo-C. 2010 study in choline liver health found it plays an essential role in preventing fatty accumulation in liver and enhancing fat metabolism. Um, like we've talked about in also tall has been shown to improve insulin sensitivity, uh, which can aid in fat loss and,
um, fat reduction. It also helps improve the body's ability to metabolize fat. Uh, so just overall is a great fat law supplement. Um. We also have L carnitine. This is. well-documented, actually 2016 meta-analysis found that it is a well documented fat-burning agent and it helps transport fatty acids into cells to be used for energy. So it was obviously huge in that regard, but I thought this was cool because it's a meta analysis. It reviewed nine clinical trials, found out that L-carnitine led to a significant reduction in body weight, BMI, and fat mass in overweight individuals
over nine different studies, which is pretty cool. Vitamin B12 and energy metabolism. So study found in the New England Journal of Medicine 2013, highlighted the role of vitamin B-12 in energy and metabolism, so it's crucial for maintaining energy levels. Supporting metabolism and injections of vitamin B12 as opposed to the oral form can help boost energy, prevent fatigue, and ensure proper metabolic function much, much more so than just the rural supplementation.
Not that the world supplementations not efficacious. I take oral vitamin b12 every day, but I do definitely, definitely get more of a boost when I inject it into myself. Lastly, let's look at the dosage. So again, every product is going to be a little bit different. Typically, we're just going see is methionine and acetylcholine somewhere between 25 to 100 milligrams per milliliter, L-carnitine somewhere, between 50 to a hundred milligrams, sometimes up to 200 milligrams depending on the product. And then vitamin B12, again depends on product, but somewhere around 500 to 1000 micrograms.
I personally, because of the carnitine, what I would recommend is to do an intramuscular injection. You could potentially do this subcutaneous. I'm not saying not to. It just might leave you with a little bit of a bump because the carotene. So I, personally like a 28 gauge insulin needle, pre-fasted cardio or pre workout. We can definitely use this every day. Even say up to three times a day, if you can take the injection or don't mind injecting, I think you could use it every In my experience, there is no real tolerance built up to this. I still get the same effect over time, unlike a peptide or other drugs or medications that you have to cycle on and cycle off.
You could use a smaller needle, like a 30 or 31 gauge. My experience is the carnitine doesn't go through those needles as well, which actually can hurt you in the long run. You would think that it would be better to use a smaller needle because it wouldn't hurt less, but because the carnitine is thicker, it actually hurts more because of the pushes it through. And you end up getting like little nodules on your skin, whereas like the larger needle doesn't do that. But it also depends on their body fat levels and everything. So I like 28 gauge, half inch, one milliliter insulin needle.
insulin needle and not typically do one milliliter of that. So again, you could use this pre-cardio. First thing when you wake up in the morning for energy and then also to pre training. I don't personally find that it like keeps me up at night. It's like if I do train in afternoon or do cardio in an afternoon, it doesn't keep me out at. But maybe different for you. You just have to experiment with that because I've heard people say that, like B12 or the carnitine kind of like wakes them up and they can't sleep.
might not be the same for you. So that is it for the slides. And that, is my comprehensive review of Lipo-C. Hopefully that was helpful to you guys and made sense. It's pretty straightforward. Again, it's just one of those ones, I always have this on hand at my house to use pre-cardia. I wouldn't say I use it every time because I'm oftentimes experimenting with different things, but I think in the In the optimized lifestyle, this is something that everyone should have on hand at all times and definitely be using throughout the week, regardless of whether it's for training or cardio.
And it is one of those ones too, when we look at like anti-aging and longevity, all these ingredients work good. They all really help the body to maintain kind of like an optimized lean state, remove some of the waste byproducts and everything. and all these things are something that I think year round you should use thinking you don't have to worry about like cycling on or cycling off. So I look forward to your feedbacks and comments. Let me know if there's a Lipo-C reviews you guys have or your experience with it down in the comments or if Uh, you would like for me to cover in addition
to this. I know there's other ones like lipo B and maybe some other one's out there, uh, that I could talk about for sure. So, um, also to, I don't talk this publicly, but on my email list. Wink, wink, talk where you may or may not find these products to research, and where are you? May or May not be able to get. coupons or discounts. So check that out and you can sign up for the email list down in the description below.
