Peptides for Eye Health The Ultimate Vision Support Stack
This is one of the most requested topics I get, and I finally feel like my research is buttoned up enough to share it. With bioregulators becoming more widely available, there are some real options now for people dealing with macular degeneration, eye strain, and general vision issues. Here's the stack I'd recommend.
A quick note on my own eyes
I've always had really good eyesight. Last time I got measured I was 20/20 and 20/15, so I'm not coming at this from personal struggle.
But I am religious about a few things. I wear blue light blocking glasses when I'm working at night. I run software called Iris on my monitor that pulls blue light out of the screen. And I try to do my cardio outside so my eyes are looking at long distances instead of constantly focusing close on a screen.
That last one matters more than people realize. When you stare at a screen all day, your eyes get weaker over time.
Where eye health stands today
As of 2020, about 1.1 billion people worldwide live with vision loss. That includes 43 million who are blind and 295 million with moderate to severe impairment. In the US alone, 3.4 million Americans 40 and over are blind or seriously impaired, and 80 million have diseases that could lead to blindness.
Diabetes is a huge driver. A lot of people have eye issues not because they're full diabetic but because they're pre-diabetic, and that drives inflammation that hits the eyes.
Childhood myopia is also climbing fast. Roughly one third of kids globally are now affected, mostly from screen time and lack of outdoor activity.
The big causes break down into refractive errors, age-related diseases like cataracts and glaucoma and macular degeneration, chronic conditions like diabetic retinopathy, infections, environmental factors, and nutritional deficiencies.
Cover your bases first. Then layer in peptides.
Penelex
Penelex is a peptide bioregulator built to support regeneration in the retina and cornea. It combines peptides from the spleen, eye vascular wall, and retinal tissue to address vascular and metabolic dysfunction in the eye.
It enhances vascular permeability in eye blood vessels, improves metabolism in the pigmentary epithelium, and supports cellular respiration. Translation, your retina gets more light sensitivity and better resistance to hypoxia.
These bioregulators come from Russia. Tons of evidence backs them up, but most of it hasn't been translated into English.
Dose: 1 to 2 capsules daily with meals, 30 to 60 days depending on severity. Repeat a few times per year, typically 60 days on, 60 days off.
A lot of people get great results from this one alone.
Visoluten
Visoluten is designed to restore retinal cells, the ciliary muscle, and the conjunctiva. It works by promoting protein synthesis in eye tissue, which helps cellular repair and reduces discomfort from environmental stressors like screen time.
If your main issue is eye strain from heavy computer use, this is probably your best pick.
Dose: 2 capsules daily with meals, 10 to 30 days per cycle. Lower end for mild issues, higher end for more severe.
Penelex and Visoluten stack well together. If I could only pick one for someone with screen-related strain, I'd go Visoluten.
Visomitin (SkQ1)
Visomitin is a mitochondrial-targeted antioxidant for ocular tissue. If you've followed me, you know I love mitochondrial peptides like SS-31, MOTS-c, and SLU-PP-332. This is basically the eye-specific version.
It works on the mitochondria in eye cells, reduces oxidative damage, and supports energy production. Clinical trials have shown efficacy for dry eye syndrome and potential for cataracts and glaucoma.
This one is actually eye drops, not capsules.
Dose: 1 to 2 drops in each eye, 2 to 3 times daily. Run it for 3 to 6 months with breaks as needed.
For someone like me with decent eyesight, this is the one I'd lean on. Dry eye hits everyone seasonally, and bumping mitochondrial function in your eyes is just a smart play.
BPC-157
No surprise here. BPC-157 promotes angiogenesis through VEGF, improves blood flow to injured tissue, and reduces inflammation and oxidative stress.
Preclinical studies show potential for healing optic nerve damage and supporting retinal health. Especially useful if you've had any kind of eye injury.
I'm not telling you to inject anything into your eye. Don't do that.
Dose: 250 to 500 mcg subcutaneously in the belly, or 1 to 2 mg of oral arginate salt capsules. Run it 4 to 8 weeks, then take 4 to 8 weeks off.
Melanotan-1
You're probably wondering why a tanning peptide is on this list. Hear me out.
Melanotan-1 binds to melanocortin receptors and modulates inflammatory and oxidative stress pathways. Those receptors exist in ocular tissue too. It has shown neuroprotective effects through melanocortin pathways that could indirectly benefit the eye.
My theory, and this is more speculation, is that the same way it protects your skin from sun damage by boosting melanin, it's also protecting the receptors in your eyes from UV stress.
I have darker eyes and I almost never wear sunglasses. Even in really bright sun my eyes don't bother me. Could be genetics, could be something else, but I think there's something here.
Dose: 250 to 500 mcg, 2 to 3 times per week for 4 to 6 weeks, with 1 to 2 week breaks between cycles.
P21
P21 deserves its own video and I'll do one. Quick version, it's a synthetic peptide with neurotrophic properties that protects and regenerates neural tissue, including the retina.
It promotes neuronal survival and differentiation, regulates inflammation, and supports retinal cell health. Preclinical studies suggest it can slow retinal degeneration and support photoreceptor function. It's particularly promising for neurodegenerative eye diseases.
Dose: 1 mg subcutaneously every other day, 6 to 8 weeks per cycle, repeated 1 to 2 times per year.
P21 is overlooked and underrated. Great for cognitive health, and the retinal benefits are a nice bonus.
The full stack at a glance

My take
Most acquired vision problems trace back to metabolic health and lifestyle. If your blood sugar, blood pressure, and cardiovascular system are dialed in, your eyes have a real shot. If you're staring at screens 10 to 12 hours a day with no offset, no peptide stack will save you.
That said, these peptides work. Penelex and Visoluten alone help a lot of people. Add Visomitin drops for daily mitochondrial support, and bring in BPC-157, Melanotan-1, and P21 if you're targeting deeper repair. Some folks were just born with poor eyesight, and that's okay too. You can still use these to heal regardless of how healthy you are metabolically.

Hey, everybody. This is Hunter Williams. I hope you're doing amazing wherever you are out in the world. Today's video is going to be my recommended peptide stack for eye health. So yes, this is something that I get requested to do all the time. And to honest, I wanted to have my research button up a little bit more, but I also recognize that there were other things like bioregulators that are now about to become pretty widely available for people to use that have much more efficacy when it comes to helping with eyesight and improving vision
and healing any sort of macular degeneration that people have. So today's video is going to be my recommended stack for that. And as with many things, which I think you guys appreciate me saying this, I actually, and this is not like an ego thing or a brag or anything, but I've just always had really good eyesight. I don't have to wear glasses. Last time I got my vision measured, I think it was like 2020 and 2015, so I've always had pretty good vision going back to the time when I was a child. So I don't really struggle with poor eyesight.
I'm also very religious about making sure I wear my blue blocking glasses. even though I have my computer screen right here for two reasons. One, I think it'd be kind of obnoxious because I thinks a lot of biohackers wear their blue light blocking glasses as like a fashion statement sometimes, but I do wear them a lots, especially if it's at night. But right now I'm filming it in the daytime. I also have a thing on my screen that's called Iris. which is a software that actually pulls all the blue light out of my monitor. So my monitoring basically has like a blue-light filter on it, so it's not emitting bluelight too, but I still think you should wear glasses most of the time.
But I take them off just because I think I don't want to be kind of obnoxious or ostentatious wearing blue lighting glasses when I'm doing it. I do wear them when doing a lot of calls and live streams and stuff, or just working on the computer in general. That being said, I go out and walk around outside a And so if I'm doing cardio or I exercise a lot of times, I make sure I try to do that outside. And when you have long eyesight, basically kind of planes or areas that you're looking, your eyes get stronger.
Whereas a lots of people are like looking at a screen or looking up really close in the screen. And that can be damaging to eyesight over the long term, which is something obviously a lot of people struggle with. So that's why we're going to be looking at the peptides for eyesight today. There's going be some that I'm sure you probably would have guessed, but there's also going some newer ones that full disclosure, I don't have as much experience using, But I've heard really good things about them. And now I know there are places that you can get them So we'll talk about that today. But, um, as always check out the peptide cheat sheet. That link will be down in the description of the video.

So without further ado, let's get into it and talk. The best peptides for eyesight today, All right. I am Hunter Williams and these are, in my opinion, the best peptides for eye health. So as always, I like to give a little bit of context.
Let's look at eye-health and kind of what's going on as a state of affairs. As of 2020, approximately 11, or excuse me, 1.1 billion people in the world live with vision loss. This actually includes 43 million people who are blind and 295 million with moderate to severe vision impairment. In the United States alone, over 3.4 million Americans age 40 and above are either blind or seriously visually impaired. And additionally, about 80 million of Americans have diseases that can lead to blindness if not properly managed.
One of the big ones is diabetes. I think a lot of people suffer from poor eyesight, not necessarily because they're full-blown diabetic, but because their pre-diabetic and that could lead some issues with their eyesight which is really just more of an inflammation thing. There's also issues in children too. Recent studies indicate a significant increase in myopia among children with one third now affected globally. So the rise in this is attributed to increased screen time and reduced outdoor activities which were obviously exacerbated by the lockdowns and everything.
What are the causes of some of this? There are many. The first one is going to be known as refractive error. Conditions like myopoeia, which is nearsightedness, or hyperopia, which is farsightedness and astigmatism result from irregularities in the eye shape leading to blurred vision. So these are among the most prevalent causes of people's vision impairment. We have age-related eye diseases. Cataracts is the clouding of the eyelids which leads to decreased vision, glaucoma, which is damage to the optic nerve, often associated with increased
intraocular pressure, and then we have age-related macular degeneration, deterioration of the central portion of retina, the macula affecting central vision. And I think that's going to be more or less where a lot of these bioregulators and peptides come in to help. You know, when we look at chronic health conditions, diabetes can lead to diabetic retinopathy, where high blood sugar levels damage retinal blood vessels, potentially causing vision loss. Also high, blood pressure can cause hypertensive retino pathy which leads to retina damage.
We also have infections and inflammation. So there's conjunctivitis, which is inflammation of the conjunctive commonly known as pink eye. which I'm sure all of us, I know I have experienced a couple of times in our life. We have keratitis, which is the inflammation of the cornea often due to infection. And then obviously too, this is a huge one that is becoming worse and worse by the day, but environmental and lifestyle factors. So we have prolonged screen time. so extended exposure to digital screens can cause digital eye strain and may contribute to the development of myopia, especially in children.
And we have UV exposure. So excessive UV, exposure increases the risk of cataracts and other eye conditions. And then lastly, um, as with many other things in the human body, uh, but there's nutritional deficiencies. conditions such as zero thalmia, which is a severe dryness of the eye that can progress to blindness. So nutritional deficiencies are huge too. Um, so all that being considered, let's talk about the peptide.
Uh, I state that just to say, Hey, cover your bases, make sure you're doing everything. And then we can look into peptides. The first one is going to be a peptid called, uh, penelex or Penelecs. It basically is, a Peptide bioregulator formulated to support regenerative process in the particularly the retina and the cornea and it combines peptides derived from the spleen, eye vascular wall and retinal derived or excuse me to address vascular and metabolic dysfunction in ocular tissues. So what it does is it enhances the vascular permeability in the eye blood vessels.
It improves metabolism and the pigmentary epithelium and supports cellular respiration. So these effects improve retinal light sensitivity and resistance to hypoxia and ischemia, making it a strong candidate for eye regeneration. Again, these bioregulators, they come from Russia. There's lots and lots of evidence to back them up, but just oftentimes haven't been translated into English. um, but, uh, Penile X and peptide bioregulars like it have demonstrated efficacy and improving tissue function by normalizing protein synthesis.
So this normalization is vital for restoring and maintaining retinal and corneal health. And, ah, there are currently clinical trials ongoing to substantiate its efficacy. Um, the cool thing about these bi oregulators is they're all capsules. You would just take one to two capsula daily, take them with meals and you do that for 30 to 60 days, depending on the severity of your, impairment and then repeat a few times throughout the year. Typically you're going to do 60 days on, six days off. And obviously we use this to support retinal and corneal regeneration, increased resistance to hypoxia and improve overall vision.
A lot of people get really good results with just this alone from what I've heard. So I would recommend you look into that and check it out. Next one. This is going to be a little bit more popular, probably a bit easier to find. It's another one called Visolutin. So it's specifically designed to restore and maintain the health of retinal cells, the ciliary muscle in the conjunctiva, and it works by promoting protein synthesis in our eyes, which aids in cellular repair and alleviates discomfort caused by environmental stressors like
prolonged screen time. Go figure. Studies on bisolutin and some of the bioregulars have shown potential improving protein metabolism, Which supports the repair of age-related or environmentally induced ocular damage. And much like Penalex, this one's going to be two capsules daily taken with meals, and then it's gonna be 10 to 30 days per cycle. Again, if it is on the lower end of severity, 10 days, higher end severity 30 day. The reason we use this is to nourish retinal ancillary cells, improve eye strain and restore overall ocular function.
So it works good with Penalax, but Visalutin Um, as you can see, I think for someone that has eye strain or eye impairment, especially due to, uh, overuse of screens, this one's probably going to work better. I would recommend both of them if you're trying to heal. But, um, if he only could choose one. Um. The next one is viso meat. And so this is SKQ one, so. This is actually a mitochondrial targeted antioxidant designed to combat oxidative stress specifically in ocular tissues,
which is pretty cool. So this works on the mitochondria, reducing oxidative damage and improving mitochondrial function. So it helps maintain retinal health and energy production in the eye. You guys are probably familiar, if you know me, with SS31, MOTC, SLUPP332, which all actually kind of indirectly help with eye health because of what they do to the myocondrial health in this cell. This is kind like a SS 31 type peptide specifically for your eye, So, clinical trials have demonstrated its efficacy in treating dry eye syndrome and its
potential for age-related ocular diseases like cataracts and glaucoma. So again, if that is more the cause of your issues, I would steer towards this visomittin. I'm not sure how to pronounce all these because a lot of them are stem from Russian words, but this one is actually a drop. So you'd use one to two drops in each eye, two to three times daily. And then you would use this kind of as needed, uh, for three to six months cycles, depending on, again, on the severity of disease with breaks as it needed. This is going to reduce oxidative stress, improve mitochondrial function and protects against eye related conditions.
So for someone like me that has pretty good eyesight, I would probably lean towards using these drops just because I think, you know, when we look at bioregulators, they're bringing the cells in a specific organ into the ideal state, which of course not everyone's going to have the perfect state regardless of how healthy you are. oftentimes because of environmental stress. Um, for someone like me, I think you look at dry eye, that's something more or less depending on the time of year, everyone's going to have a little bit of, um, but then also to, uh, just for enhancement of the mitochondria and ocular tissue is a pretty cool thing that we have access to.
So the next one, and these are going be a bit more general. Those were more of eye specific ones. But there is, you know, in a stack designed for eye healing, a place for some of other more common peptides. The first one Go figure. I know this would come as no surprise to much of you who've used this as BPC-157. So basically it's known for its ability to heal tissue and reduce inflammation. It's regenerative properties extend to various tissues, including the ones in the eye. Now I am not recommending you ever inject Bpc- 157 into your eye, I'm actually not recommend you to ever injected Bps-1507 at all,
because that would be against the term research purposes, right? but basically it promotes angiogenesis by interacting with growth factors like VEGF, which improves blood flow to injured tissues, specifically if those are in the eye. But it also reduces inflammation and oxidative distress, was just critical for ocular repair. And there are preclinical studies that have demonstrated BPC 157's potential in healing optic nerve damage and supporting retinal health. So it's anti-inflammatory and regenerative actions make it particularly suitable for treating eye injuries.
So what I would do is inject 250 to 500 micrograms subcutaneously into the belly. And then if you're using oral BPC, one seven arginate salt capsules, you do one to two milligrams and I will do that for four to eight weeks and then take, another four or eight week off. And then the reason we would use this obviously is to promote healing in the retinal tissues, reduce inflammation and support nerve repair there. And I think, especially if you had an injury to your eye, that would be one that Next one is Melanotan-1.
So you're probably thinking, why would we use Melantitan-I if that is a tanning peptide to help our eyes? Well, in my research, and I think now that I have research to back it up, could vouch for this, it definitely enhances eyesight. And here's why. It's a synthetic analog of alpha melanocytes stimulating hormone, which is primarily used to stimulate melanin production. So it's interaction with a melanocorticoid, lano cordon receptors may offer secondary benefits for eye health. And so what it does is by binding to melano, cord and receptors, Martin one modulates inflammatory and oxidative stress pathways,
which are also president present in the eye tissue or ocular tissues. So Melanotin-1 has shown potential neuroprotective effects in melanocordin pathways, which could indirectly benefit the eye. And I also too think because again, this is just more my speculation and theory, because it's enhancing our ability to absorb sunlight and not be damaged by sunlight by enhancing the melanin receptors in our skin. It's also doing to those receptors that we have in the eyes, which means that our eyes don't get as damaged by the sun.
Now, I think this is because I have darker eyes, but I rarely, if ever at all, wear sunglasses. And I thing people with darker eye, like myself, don' really get bothered so much by sun, But I've just never liked wearing sunglasses, so I don''t like having things on my face. But, also, um, i've never really been bothered by my sun so even if it's really, really bright, my eyes are down in my car or whatever. But anyway, for Melian 10.1, we're going to do 250 to 500 micrograms injected to three tons per week.
You can do this for 46 weeks with breaks of one to two weeks between cycles. And the reason we would do, this is obviously to modulate oxidative stress and inflammation in the ocular tissues. Even if we are in a more sun-laden environment, I think it's going help protect any sort of UV damage from the sun, if that's the thing that we really need to worry about anyway. The next one's going to be a peptide called P21. I'm going go more into P 21 in a separate video, because I think it's worthy and deserves its own video.
But basically it is a synthetic peptides with neurotrophic properties designed to protect and regenerate neural tissues, including those in the retina. So this one specifically works in the brain, but it also has benefits to the retina as well. So it promotes neuronal survival and differentiation by regulating inflammatory processes and supporting retinal cells health. Um, so preclinical studies, excuse me. suggests that P21 can mitigate retinal degeneration and support photoreceptor function. And it is particularly promising for neurodegenerative eye diseases.
So what we would do for this is one milligram injected subcutaneously. You can do it intramuscularly, but I recommend sub cutaneously every other day. Then you do this for six to eight weeks, repeated one to two times for a year. The reason we do do is to protect against retinol degeneration and enhance neuronal function in the eye. So I think P21 oftentimes overlooked, oftentimes not well understood, but works really well for cognitive health and as a secondary benefit helps with our retina health as well.
So to sum up the stack, we've got penilects, so we're gonna do one to two capsules daily with meals, 30 to 60 days. Vesalutin, two capsules daily meals, 10 to 30 days that we would use that. BPC 157, four to eight weeks at 250 to 500 micrograms daily. Melanotan-1, 250-500 micro grams, 2 to 3 times per week for 4 to 6 weeks. P21, 1 milligram sub Q, 6 to 8 weeks on. And then lastly, the Veso-Meaton eye drops, a 1 to 2 drops in each eye 2-3 times daily, And then that's for three to six months with breaks,
but you kind of use it on as needed basis relative to your pain and inflammation. So that sums up the stack and that is it for the slides. And that the peptide stack for eyesight. Again, this is one of the more requested videos that I get and now I have gotten around to doing a video on it. I know a lot of people are going to say, well, where do I get these? We've got to cover our bases, we've gotta make sure we're exercising, and we gotta be sure that we are not on a screen for 10 to 12 hours a day, or if we things to offset that. And then also too, we want to make sure we have healthy cardiovascular health because obviously that's going to affect the blood vessels in the eye, which a lot of times will lead to degradation for people. So I think not all, but a of people's poor eyesight that they acquire over years or end up having over the years is a result of their metabolic health. As though if we had healthy metabolic, health, a lotta times eye health we're at least giving ourselves a shot.
Now I know some people just have poor eye sight and that just what they're born with and it's okay. I'm very blessed and fortunate not to have that, Um, so if that is someone like you, you can definitely use these peptides to heal, irrespective of how healthy you are metabolically speaking.
