This Peptide Heals The Liver | A Look At Ovagen For Hepatic Health
You'd think a peptide called Ovagen would target the ovaries. It actually works on the liver. And after digging into the research, I think this one deserves a spot in most people's protocols at least once or twice a year.
Liver health gets associated with fatty liver patients or people struggling with alcohol. The reality is your liver matters way more to your daily function than you probably realize. Let's get into what Ovagen does and why I think it's worth running.
What Ovagen Actually Is
Ovagen comes from research on peptide extracts from animal livers. It was developed after studying a natural liver peptide supplement called Svetinorm, which I've used myself extensively.
Svetinorm is the oral form derived from actual animal tissue. Ovagen is the synthetic injectable version containing only the single most active peptide molecule. That gives it a faster, more immediate effect than the oral version.
The molecule is small enough to cross cell membranes and even nuclear membranes. That's how it reaches the genetic material inside cells where it does its work.
How It Works
Ovagen has a few different mechanisms worth knowing.
Epigenetic gene regulation. It penetrates the cell nucleus and binds to DNA or chromatin, modulating gene expression. It appears to reset DNA toward a more youthful state, reducing the heterochromatin accumulation that comes with aging.
Tissue-specific liver and GI effects. It stimulates cell proliferation and reduces apoptosis in liver and stomach cells. Research shows it helps prevent scarring and fibrotic changes that lead to cirrhosis.
Immune modulation. Clinical studies show decreases in elevated immunoglobulin levels and normalization of immune parameters with Ovagen use.
Antiviral activity. This one surprised me. Ovagen can inhibit HIV-1 protease, the enzyme essential for HIV viral maturation. The EDL tripeptide is one of the smallest known HIV-1 protease inhibitors. It's not an approved HIV treatment, but it's an interesting research direction.
Downstream Benefits Beyond the Liver
The liver is so connected to everything else in the body that healing it has ripple effects.
Kidney protection. In rat models of renal ischemia and toxic nephropathy, Ovagen pre-treatment improved kidney function recovery. It also helped restore kidney function in cisplatin-induced acute renal failure.
Stomach and gut health. Ovagen boosts mucosal barrier function in the GI tract. People report better digestion and less gastric irritation, especially during or after antibiotic treatment. I wish I'd known about this when I was on long courses of antibiotics for acne as a kid. That ruined my stomach for years.
Metabolic improvements. Ovagen helps normalize lipid and carbohydrate metabolism, reduces fat accumulation in the liver, and may improve hepatic insulin sensitivity. It would pair really nicely with something like retatrutide for stripping liver fat.
Cholesterol and cardiovascular. A healthier liver regulates cholesterol better and produces proteins like HDL more efficiently.
Use During Chemotherapy
This is where Ovagen was originally used in Russia. It's given to oncology patients to support the liver during chemo, and patients reported improved appetite, more energy, and reduced dyspepsia after treatment.
It upregulates detox enzymes and protects hepatic cells from drug-induced apoptosis. That improves tolerance to chemotherapy and other toxic exposures.
What the Studies Show
In aged rodents, Ovagen produced a 15 to 16% increase in cellular growth area in liver tissue compared to controls. Liver enzyme activity in old rats moved closer to young rat levels after treatment.
A 2003 study on Svetinorm with 47 patients (chronic hepatitis or liver dysfunction after chemo) found 53% experienced a marked decrease in liver-area pain, with 26% improvement in ALT levels.
In cell cultures, Ovagen-treated cells had 1.6x higher SIRT1 and SIRT6 levels than controls in young cells. In aged cells, SIRT6 levels went up to 3.3x higher. SIRT1 and SIRT6 are tied to DNA repair and longevity. Treated cells also showed lower levels of senescence markers P16, P21, and P53.
One notable finding. In an extended study, periodic courses of peptide bioregulators over six years significantly decreased five-year mortality in older people.
How I'd Dose It
Get a 20mg vial of Ovagen. Add 2mL of bacteriostatic water. That makes each 10 units (0.1mL) equal to 1mg.
Take 2mg per day for 30 to 60 days, subcutaneous. You can do IM if you want, but subQ is fine.
The safety profile is excellent. These peptide bioregulators degrade into amino acids, so worst case you pee them out and best case you get all the benefits.
User Reports
One person reported that after a course of Ovagen their elevated liver enzymes dropped and they lost bloating and midsection fat. Another said it helped balance their lower back and strengthened their digestion.
Here's something I want to highlight. A lot of people try everything for fat loss with no luck, then start injectable glutathione and the weight starts falling off. That tells me they probably had fatty liver and a high toxic load. Once the liver can actually process and detox properly, the body can let go of fat.
Toxins get stuck in fat cells, which makes that fat stubborn to lose. A healthier liver helps clear those toxins, which makes fat loss easier.
My Take
Ovagen has a place in most people's yearly protocol, even if you're already healthy and optimized. I'd run it once or twice a year, ideally paired with injectable glutathione once or twice a week.
The world is getting more contaminated, not less. Liver health matters more every year. If you're dealing with any liver condition, fatty liver, metabolic syndrome, post-chemo recovery, or just want to keep your liver biologically younger, Ovagen is worth running. And if you can stack the oral Svetinorm with it, even better.

Hey everybody, this is Hunter Williams. I hope you're doing amazing wherever you are in the world. Today's video is gonna be all about Ovagen, which you would think would be the peptide bioregular for the ovaries, but it's actually not. It's for liver. So I'm not sure of the etymology or the root trace, I guess, origin of, the word would it be. But Ovogen is for livers. And today we're gonna talk about ovagen. Kind of what it is doing to help turn back time on the liver.
And I think liver health is one of those things that a lot of people kind of associate with someone that either has like fatty liver, or maybe they have like alcohol addiction or something like that. I thing it's something that like actually is much more important to a of us than we realize. and I'm a big proponent of using injectable glutathione. If you're going to do anything to help the livers, please use injectible glutothione, I thnk it is amazing. But oidine is really really cool, especially when you look into the mechanisms of what it doing. Again, remember with these peptide bioregulators, are you necessarily going to feel anything like you just drank four cups of coffee?
No, but when we look at liver health over time, I think that this one specifically for the liver, meaning ovagen, definitely has a place at least one to two times per year just to make sure that we're doing everything we can to help signal the most youthful state in our liver. So that's what we're gonna talk about today. As always, check out the peptide cheat sheet down in the description. Join Fully Optimized Health, the best community on the planet. And if you have questions or video suggestions, don't forget to drop those. The link should be down there or that as well.
Without further ado, I'm gonna share my screen, and today we are gonna learn about Ovigen. All right, i'm Hunter Williams, And today is gonna be all about ovigen, which is the liver bioregulator peptides. Let's get into it. Ovagen originates from research on peptide extracts from animal livers. It's very common now, especially with all the carnivore movement taking place in the last couple of years for people to eat. Beef liver, usually beef liver I guess. Chicken liver is probably not as tasty as beef. This is very coming because there's a lot of nutrients in liver.
What actually happened was his ovagen was developed after studying a natural liver peptide supplement called SvetNorm, which I have used extensively myself. Works really well. Again, do I necessarily feel anything? No, but I do know it's making me healthier. None like natural multi-peptide extracts, Ovagen is a synthetic analog containing only the single most active peptide molecule, giving it a more immediate, but possibly shorter lived effect than the oral version. This is the injectable one. So basically the size of it alongside, you know, a lot of these peptides bioregulators allows it to be easily absorbed and distributed in the body.
It's water soluble and can cross cell membranes and even nuclear membrane to reach genetic material inside cells where it does all of its work. Let's look at the mechanisms of those ovogens. We obviously have epigenetic gene regulation so it can penetrate into the cell nucleus and bind to DNA or chromatin, which then modulates gene expression. So it appears to reset DNA. to a more youthful state, reducing the accumulation of heterochromatin that occurs with aging, and this is specifically taking place in the liver tissue. So, it also has a tissue-specific effect on liver and GI cells in stomach, promoting regenerative processes so it simulates cell proliferation and reduces
apoptosis in experimental models. helping maintain the liver's structural integrity. Also, there is research to show that it prevents scarring and fibrotic changes in the livers that can lead to cirrhosis. By modulating hepatic stellate cells and collagen deposition, it helps maintain normal liver architecture. And also it works on the immune system. So though, although it primarily targets liver cells, improvements in liver function can have systemic immune benefits. And clinical studies showed a decrease in elevated immunoglobulin levels and normalization of immune parameters inside the use of Opigen.
And to second that, here is some interesting data about its antiviral mechanisms, which until I did the research on this, I knew a little bit about it, but I was like, oh, wow, it's interesting. So surprisingly, It has demonstrated a very specific antivioral mechanism. It can inhibit the HIV-1 protease enzyme, was essential for HIV viral maturation. In an in vitro biochemical study, the EDL tripeptide was found to be one of the smallest known HIV 1 proteases inhibitors with an effective concentration around 50 micromoles, I think is the unit of measurement there.
But by blocking the protease, Ovigen prevents the virus from processing its proteins, thus yielding non-infectious viral particles. So while this finding is preliminary and Ovagen is not an approved HIV treatment, it opens an interesting avenue for research beyond liver health. Also to what's going on, even though the liver is recipient of benefit when you're taking ovagen. It's also been tested for protective effects outside the liver and demonstrated that its regulatory influence might extend to other organs, including the kidney. So in renal ischemia reperfusion injury models, rats pre-treated with ovogen had improved recovery of kidney function, which I guess makes sense.
I mean, the body's so tied together in the livers, like one of the most crucial organs of But also in toxic nephropathy models, Ovagen-treated rats showed preservation of kidney tissue and function. And then Ovogen aided in restoring kidney function in cisplatin-induced acute renal failure. It also had a mild diuretic effect in healthy old rats, increasing urine output without harming kidney filtration. So obviously there is some things going on downstream when we help heal the liver that it also helps the kidney. Some other regions, so like we talked about, viral hepatitis.
So it's used as an adjunct to standard anti-viral therapy to support liver regeneration and reduce inflammation. Toxic hepatitus, it helps protect and regenerate liver tissue damaged by alcohol or drug exposure. Also with fatty liver disease, and I think for people that would be suffering from metabolic syndrome. Obviously, a lot of those people have fatty liver disease. It helps support the normalization of lipid metabolism and reduction of fat accumulation in the liver, which is huge. Also makes me think about how well this would pair with something like a red trutide that helps strip off liver fat.
It also may help reduce fibrosis projection, progression and support remaining functional liver tissue in early cirrhosis instances. Also too, it's going to help protect liver cells from damage caused by medications, particularly chemotherapy and antibiotics. And then it also enhances liver regeneration after liver resection or transplantation. And that's one of those things you hope you never have to go through as a liver transplant. But when we look at what it's doing, so improved liver function, Ovagen helps normalize lipid and carbohydrate metabolism in the liver,
making it potentially useful in managing metabolic syndrome conditions. Also helps with reduced fat accumulation in liver so the peptide could assist in reducing liver fat accumulations by improving beta oxidation and BLDL processing. So again, it is something that even like optimized people I think could really benefit from because of what is doing with the metabolism. And obviously by improving hepatic insulin sensitivity and lowering liver fat, Ovigen might contribute to better glycemic control and type 2 diabetes. And then a healthier liver can better regulate cholesterol and produce proteins like HDL, thereby benefiting our cardiovascular health.
It's pretty cool. Now, another side effect of Ovagen is stomach health, so again, I think the liver is so tied into so many other organs, it kind of has these downstream effects. So Ovogen boosts the mucosal barrier function of the gastrointestinal tract. So users and clinicians have noted improved digestion and reduced gastric irritation when on ovagen, and it's especially relevant during or after antibiotic treatments, which can disrupt gut flora and irritate the gut lining. So it is recommended to reduce complications from long-term antibiotics. I wish I would have known about this or had access to this when I was taking a lot of antibiotics when younger for my acne,
because that ruined my stomach for years, to which a of that will let me on this journey that I'm at now. Mating the liver's processing of nutrients and toxins, it can relieve systemic burdens, and a well-functioning liver secretes adequate bile, improving fat digestion and bowel regularity. Now, I thought this was pretty cool because a notable application of orogen is in preventing liver pathology during chemotherapy. And if I'm not mistaken, this is where it was used originally in Russia and there was a lot of benefit to people that were taking chemotherapy when they
were using So it's given prophylactically to patients undergoing such treatments to support the liver's resilience and it is used in oncology patients after chemotherapy improved their appetite, energy and reduced dyspepsia suggesting it helps the livers and stomach recover from intensive chemical stress from something like chemotherapy. And it also is thought to upregulate detox enzymes, which makes sense because it's improving liver function and protects hepatic cells from apoptosis triggered by these drugs, improving tolerance to various medications and toxic exposures, Which is pretty cool.
And when we look at animal studies, so in experiments on age rodents, the ovagen peptide significantly improved liver tissue growth and function. So treatment produced a 15 to 16% increase in excellent growth area compared to untreated controls. And then we looked at enzymes. The activity of key liver enzymes in old rats moved closer to young levels after the administration of ovogen and in models of liver damage, peptides treated animals exhibited less liver cell necrosis, lower liver enzyme release and faster normalization. liver histology than untreated animals.
Also like I talked about too we do know that there's things going on with the immune system so some places said that decreased immunity would be an indication of ovagen so the liver produces crucial immune factors and helps clear pathogens in case of secondary immunodeficiency supporting the lever can indirectly boost immunity like we talked about kidney health so russian researchers investigated a combination of uh kidney peptide and ovogen and chronic kidney disease models and found that both peptides promote cellular renewal and kidney tissue that kidney peptide would P-I-E-T-O-L-A-X,
if you're looking for that, by the way. We have viral infections. So the discovery of Ovigen's HIV-1 protease inhibition has raised interest in whether it could serve as an adjunct in HIV treatment or other viral infection. Though there's been no studies. And also too, I thought this was pretty cool that you can find information on the liver brain axis means a healthier liver can benefit brain function. In older patients, any reduction in toxin metabolites could positively impact clarity and energy. I think people probably would experience that too. And then when we look at in vitro studies, well, we noticed that there's a boost to sirtuins and a reduction in senescent signals.
And these molecular changes are obviously hallmarks of a more useful cell phenotype and then practical anti-aging therapy. It might help preserve organ function by keeping liver cells biologically younger, meaning they continue to perform efficient protein synthesis, regenerate as needed and avoid the seniscent state that leads to chronic inflammation. So again, it's only going to help us if we have a better liver. Now, this data is from a study done on SvetNorm, which Ovagen is derived from. Ovogen would be a little bit more potent than SvetNorn, because SvatNorum is the oral form of this peptide, whereas Ovigen would an injectable form.
But the study had 47 participants and patients either had chronic hepatitis or liver dysfunction after cancer chemotherapy, and they participated in this study in 2003. 53% of those patients who experienced or had SvetNorm experienced a marked decrease in pain in the liver area after peptide treatment and there was a 26% ALT improvement. So the reduction in ALP levels indicated that the decreased liver cell damage. was present after the treatment of OVGEN. So study concluded that liver peptide bioregulators had clear hepato protective properties, accelerating recovery of liver function in both chronic liver
disease and in patients stressed by chemotherapy. Obviously, in these instances, we're going to get symptom relief. Reduced fatigue, improved appetite, and increased working capacity after using OVOGENE. Most people too will notice that their ALT and AST levels improve after this. Also too, typically they're going to see an improvement in those immunoglobulin levels indicating a drop in inflammation. And what's cool about all these peptide bioregulators is really is no downside into them because they just degrade to amino acids.
So at the very least case you pee it out and the best case, you get all those improvements that we talked about. And again, we can use these for long-terms. In one notable study, periodic courses of peptides over six years significantly decreased five-year mortality in older people and improved many health spans. So again there is a lot of evidence to suggest using all these bioregulators. For extended periods of time, it only benefits us. This was pretty cool in that cell culture study. Ovagen-treated cells had 1.6 times higher ser2 and 6 levels compared to controls in young cell cultures.
And this ser 2 and six is associated with DNA repair and longevity. In age cell cultures, ovident treatment increased her 206 levels by up to 3.3 times compared to untreated controls. And treated cells show markedly lower levels of the senescence markers P16, P21, and P53, which reflects a more youthful state. So it obviously is working at a cellular level to mimic or induce a youthfull state What I would do is if you get a 20-milligram vial of Ovagen for the dose,
I will add two mLs of bacteriostatic water to that. That makes each 10 units or 0.1 mls, one milligram. And I'd say to take two milligrams per day for 30-60 days, you do that sub-q. You could do it IM if wanted to, but I think subq is totally fine. What's cool about this, alongside all the other bioregulators, it has an excellent safety profile. Again, doesn't really degrade into anything that could be toxic or harm for the body. It only makes the bodies stronger and has good effects for them. I didn't want to put on here, so SvetNorm is the oral form, Ovagen is injectable form which is synthetic.
and the oral forms are derived from actual animal tissue, whereas the synthetic ones are obviously synthesized to mimic that. The injectable ones will have a faster-acting, shorter effect, and oral ones take longer to accumulate in the body and actually have an effect over time, but they still work. And if I was going to do something to heal my liver, I would do both of these. I did find some use cases of this online. So one user noted that after a course of Ovigen, their previously elevated liver enzymes dropped and they lost unwanted bloating and body fat around the midsection,
attributing this to improved liver performance and digestion. Then someone else said that Ovagen has helped get my lower back in the balance and strengthen my digestion, it feels better and improved my quality of life. And I did want to touch on this because I've heard of a lot of people and a lotta times I think this is because they have so much toxicity in their body. They're like, dude, I tried everything and then all of the sudden I started using injectable glutathione and weight started falling off of me. To me, what that's telling me is like one, they probably have fatty liver disease, one they've probably had like a very high toxic load in the body, and when they get the liver, when it needs to heal, which in this case would be like ovid and glutothione that I would use together,
the liver can start processing and detoxing some of these things in our body that are causing us to like hold on to this fat. So I think that is one unintended windfall of, you know, making our liver healthier and more youthful is that we become that much better keeping fat off the body. And a lot of people don't realize that like once you get fat, and you have more toxins in the fat cells, then it becomes harder to lose that fat because the toxins are stuck to the fatty cells and it become very stubborn, so to speak. There's a lots of use cases for Ovagen and I What the liver does for the rest of the body in terms of getting out all the toxins that we encounter on a
daily basis, it only is going to benefit us to improve our liver health. So that is it for slides. And that's everything you should know about Ovagen, which is the bioregulator peptide. So again, not a super long video, but I think this is one of those things. Like obviously, if you're suffering from any of these conditions that we talked about, you could benefit from Ovagen. But even for someone that's perfectly healthy, perfectly optimized, I still think there's a case of one to two times per year of using Ovogen. And then obviously I use injectable glutathione usually at least once or twice per week.
And I think it pairs really nicely with Ovagen just to make sure that the body is primed to get rid of all the toxins that we encounter on a daily basis. As the world becomes more and more contaminated, it's going to be more important that people pay attention to liver health. Ovigen definitely stands to benefit a lot of us in doing so. So, thank you guys so much. If you have any experience with using Ovagen, please comment below and let everyone else know what your experience was, good or bad, just to help contribute to the community. And again, Thank you, guys, so, much to everyone out there that supports the channel, help support.
liking commenting subscribing being on the email list buying the products you guys have no idea how far that goes and helping get this information out there helping change the world i think i came across a study this week that only three percent of the united states population knows what a peptide is let alone uses one and so I'm sure it's even a much smaller percentage of that three percent that even uses peptides. So if you're listening to this and you are a part of this movement in any shape or form you don't have to be involved professionally but even just personally know that there's still a lot of room to grow in the world to help get this information out there.
So anything you can do massively benefits humanity and helps change the health of the planet. Thank you guys so much from the bottom of my heart. I have so many gratitude to have the honor and privilege to get to bring this to you. That's it for this one and I will talk to in the next one. Peace.
