Unleashing BAM15 The Next-Gen Fat Burning Miracle
This is the long-awaited BAM15 video in written form. I really believe BAM15 is one of the greatest fat burning compounds we have right now. It's a mitochondrial uncoupler, and in this article I'll cover what it does, what to expect, and how to use it properly alongside SLU.

What BAM15 Actually Does
BAM15 is a mitochondrial uncoupler. It transports protons across the inner mitochondrial membrane and dissipates the proton gradient that normally drives ATP synthesis.
In plain English, it shuttles protons in a way that uncouples electron transport from ATP production. Energy gets released as heat instead of stored as ATP.
This triggers a surge in mitochondrial respiration. Cells consume more oxygen and oxidize more fuel to compensate for the lost ATP. The end result is a higher metabolic rate and more energy expenditure.
That's a long way of saying it cranks up your metabolism.
Why BAM15 Is Not DNP
When people hear "uncoupler," they immediately think DNP. DNP works for fat loss, but people have died on it. The excessive heat it generates can cook you from the inside if you take too much.
BAM15 is different. It preferentially targets mitochondria and does not significantly depolarize the plasma membrane the way DNP does.
That's the key distinction. Same category on paper, very different molecule in practice. BAM15 doesn't raise body temperature, doesn't suppress appetite, and at proper doses doesn't cause toxicity in preclinical models.
You still want to use it smart. But you don't have to fear it the way you'd fear DNP.
The Benefits
Fat loss without appetite suppression. Animal studies show BAM15 increases energy expenditure without changing food intake or body temperature. Obese mice lost adipose tissue while keeping lean muscle mass.
This is a big deal. GLP-1s work largely through appetite suppression and can come with muscle loss if not used properly. BAM15 burns fat through a completely different mechanism, and you keep your muscle.
Improved insulin sensitivity. In diet-induced obese mice, BAM15 increased fat oxidation, decreased liver fat, and improved whole-body insulin sensitivity and glycemic control. It effectively reversed obesity and insulin resistance in those animals.
Lower liver fat. Important for anyone dealing with non-alcoholic fatty liver or heading toward type 2 diabetes.
Reduced reactive oxygen species. Unlike most uncouplers, BAM15 lowers mitochondrial oxidative stress instead of raising it. This matters a lot when we talk about pairing it with SLU.
Better metabolic flexibility. Think of a hybrid car that can run on gas or electricity and switch between them efficiently. BAM15 helps your body switch between burning carbs and burning fat.
Anti-inflammatory effects. A 2023 sepsis study showed mice given BAM15 had a 75% seven-day survival rate compared to 25% in controls. That's a threefold improvement, with significantly less kidney injury.
Possible cancer research applications. Some tumors rely heavily on mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation, and BAM15 can induce metabolic stress in those cells. This is research only. I'm not recommending it for cancer.
Neuroprotection and eye health. Early studies show protective effects on retinal cells and potential applications in neurodegenerative disease.
The Research Timeline
BAM15 was first identified in 2013 in a screen for uncouplers that spare the plasma membrane.
Around 2019 and 2020, the metabolic disease research started rolling in. One 2020 study showed chronic BAM15 treatment reversed high-fat diet obesity and insulin resistance in mice while keeping food intake the same.
A 2021 study found BAM15 reduced systemic inflammation in an LPS-induced endotoxemia model. The 2023 sepsis study I mentioned above showed dramatic survival benefits.
Other studies looked at retinal cell protection (2019), leukemia cells (2022), and tumor-targeted analogs (2021).
The collective picture is solid proof of concept. Metabolically beneficial, organ protective, and a favorable safety profile.
Why BAM15 and SLU Work Together
SLU enhances mitochondrial biogenesis, increases ATP production, and accelerates electron flow through the electron transport chain. It makes energy production more efficient.
The risk with too much SLU is mitochondrial overspin. Electron transport gets too rapid, ROS production climbs, and people end up feeling burnt out and terrible.
I always use the car exhaust analogy. Your car generates energy to get you somewhere, but it also generates exhaust. Too much exhaust in a small space and you choke yourself out. That's what happens at high SLU doses.
BAM15 prevents that overspin. It dissipates the excess proton gradient and reduces ROS production that SLU can drive up. SLU enhances energy efficiency, BAM15 prevents the metabolic stress.
Together they create a high energy turnover state where the body keeps burning stored fat without overloading the mitochondria. You get the best of both compounds.
How to Dose It
This is the ratio Alex helped us establish for MetaShred.
BAM15: 50 to 100 mg per day. Take it in the morning or pre-workout.
SLU: 100 to 200 mcg per day. Take it at the same time as the BAM15.
One MetaShred capsule has 50 mg BAM15 and 100 mcg SLU. Two capsules gives you 100 mg BAM15 and 200 mcg SLU.
Start with one capsule per day. Move to two if you're a larger person. Most people will top out around four to five capsules. Don't start there.
Optional add-ons
- MOTS-c: 5 mg three times per week, or 1 mg daily, or 5 mg on days you're not taking BAM15. This is optional. Don't stress about it.
- Metformin: 1000 to 2000 mg per day for glucose disposal and insulin sensitivity.
- Injectable L-carnitine: 500 mg per day. One of my staples. Helps shuttle fatty acids into mitochondria.
Signs You're Taking Too Much
Too much BAM15: fatigue, unexplained muscle loss, feeling cold or sweating excessively, increased hunger, dizziness, headaches, resting heart rate up 10 to 15 beats per minute.
A note on heart rate. Your body is going through metabolic adaptation in the first week or two, so a slightly elevated heart rate is normal early on. It should come back down. If it stays high for weeks, you're doing too much.
Too much SLU: restlessness, jitters, muscle cramps, brain fog, joint pain, slower workout recovery.
Too much of both together (MetaShred): chronic fatigue despite high metabolism, shortness of breath, heart palpitations, GI issues.
The Electrolyte Conversation
I have to say this loudly. Anytime you ramp up metabolism with BAM15, SLU, GLP-1s, anything, you deplete electrolytes faster.
People tell me their heart races and their head feels off. They swear they drink enough water and get enough electrolytes. They almost never do.
Go above and beyond what you think you need. Magnesium, potassium, sodium. This is the single biggest fix for the heart palpitations and brain fog people blame on the peptides.
Background Support Stack
Keep this simple. You don't need a hundred supplements.
- Urolithin A: 1 to 2 grams, two times per week
- Injectable glutathione: 100 to 200 mg, two times per week
- Carbon 60: 1 teaspoon per day
These help keep ROS in check while you're stimulating mitochondria. BAM15 already mitigates most of that, but the support is worth running in the background.
Cycling
I'm not going to give you a rigid four weeks on, eight weeks off rule. Use it based on your goal.
Prepping for a fitness show? Run it 16 weeks. Trying to lose five pounds? Six to eight weeks. Just doing it for longevity? Four weeks on, two weeks off, then go again.
Don't take it every day forever. Be smart.
My Take
BAM15 is the holy grail of fat loss compounds we have right now. Oral capsule, no injection required, works through a completely different pathway than GLP-1s, and pairs beautifully with SLU to cancel out the ROS issue people run into at higher doses.
I just started running it myself, and I'll do plenty of updates over the next four to six weeks. The combination of fat loss without muscle loss, no appetite suppression, no body temperature spike, and actual mitochondrial protection makes this one of the most exciting compounds I've researched.

Hey everybody. This is Hunter Williams. I hope you were doing amazing wherever you are at in the world. Today's video is going to be the long awaited BAM 15 comprehensive video. So BAME 15, I really think is probably going be at least for what we have now, one of the greatest fat burning supplements ever. Um, it's pretty cool. It's a mitochondrial uncoupler. And what I'm going do today is just give you the complete overview and breakdown of everything that I've studied and researched. in theory and in practice on how to use it and what we can expect to benefit out of it.
So I'd just like to thank all the amazing people that have helped make this possible so far. Alex Kickle is one of the, he is the foremost, most knowledgeable person on BAM15 on the planet. Obviously we've done a ton of stuff with him. Jay and I have. And we have succeeded in bringing this to the market now so that you can purchase it alongside SLU. So SLu, you know, if you've been following me for a while, we've talking about that for awhile, works amazing. People get amazing results with it. And BAM15 is only going to make it that much better.

So in this video, I'm going break down everything about it, the backstory, what BAM15 does, which you can expect from it how to use it properly and all that good stuff. And today's video is the BAM 15 video. Really truly believe this is next generation fat loss agent and you can see it there, the Holy grail.
So let's get into it. Let's go into everything we should know before experimenting and researching with BAME 15 and why it is so powerful. What is it? It is a mitochondrial uncoupler. It transports protons across the inner mitochondria membrane and then dissipates the proton gradient that normally drives ATP synthesis. So I know that sounds a little confusing, but let's go deeper into what that means. By faring protons from the inner membrane space into the matrix, it uncouples electron transport from ATP production, causing energy to be released as
heat instead of stored as ATP. Now, in the process of this, this uncoupling triggers a surge in mitochondrial respiration. So cells consume more oxygen and oxidize more substrates to compensate for the lost ATP, effectively boosting our metabolic rate and energy expenditure. All those things are a long-winded way, and a complicated way of saying that it is increasing our metabolism. When we do this, this allows mitochondria to reach a high sustained rate of oxygen consumption with minimal cytotoxicity or disruption to other cellular membranes.
Now, most of the time, and I want to address this at the forefront because when people hear uncoupler, they immediately think of DNP, which has been used for a long time as a fat loss agent and it works really well. The problem is you can die on it or you could cause severe damage because of the excessive heat that it induces, and if you take too much, it can end up basically overheating you and causing a lot of problems. And people have died in the past from overdosing it. So, unlike DMP, so what I want to say is that BAM15 is lumped into the same class as D&P because of the nature of what it does,
but this is actually much different. That's why we don't have to worry about it like we would DnP. Now, do we have use it smart? Of course, BAM-15 preferentially targets mitochondria and it does not significantly depolarize the plasma membrane unlike other uncouplers like DNP. So that's what makes it different. I'll probably reference that a couple more times, but when we hear the word uncupplers, a lot of people shy away from it because of things like TMP, and rightfully so. It makes sense if something is in the category of a DNB that you would avoid it, right?
But as you're going to see today, as I'm going through this presentation, There's actually very few things we have to worry about because there's a lot of different mechanisms that BAM15 is working to achieve in the body that DMP is not doing. So let's keep going into it. At the cellular level, B15's uncoupling effect leads to increased fuel oxidation, particularly fat oxidation and can reduce high mitochondrial membrane potential, which in turn lowers reactive oxygen species under some conditions. Now that's going to be important much later, and if you've been keeping up with everything in the last couple months or the year,
you know what can happen when you take too much SLU. So that is a little teaser to stay tuned for the end of the video. When we look at it, studies indicate that BAM dissipates the proton gradient without inducing excess mitochondrial reactive oxygen species production. I'll just call it ORO-S from now on. And mild uncoupling generally alleviates oxidative stress by preventing electron backup in the electron transport chain. So I know that sounds confusing, but just hang with me.
When we look at that in terms of metabolic activity and thermogenesis, the heightened metabolic causes cells to burn more calories and generate excess heat. And this is what thermogenesis means. So naturally we are burning more and if we look over time, what does the average human do as we age? We burn less and less calories either because we're not exercising as much or our body starts to deteriorate and in doing so our metabolism starts shut down. That's why there's so many people accumulate fat as they age independent of changing their exercise or diet.
Now, when we look at this as a weight loss tool, animal models show that this, bam, increased energy expenditure without altering food intake or body temperature. So, we're not changing the amount of food we are eating and we aren't changing body temperatures. Again, that's important relative to DMP, which made its motive action from appetite suppressing drugs or exercise different. It causes weight-loss through pure metabolic uncoupling rather than reduced calorie intake. And what do you always hear all the time? How do you lose weight? You eat less and move more, right? Well, to an extent that's true, but there's so much more that goes into that like hormones.
our thyroid, our base metabolic rate, what's going on in the body. And you can only restrict the bodies so much. What's cool is now we're coming into this golden age of we have agents like this that can be used safely and effectively to create the fat loss that we want without changing caloric intake, which maybe we do need to change caloric intake if you're eating too much, but a lot of people are doing everything right from a diet standpoint and they still can't lose weight. They still Now, when we look at metabolic flexibility, that's what we always love to talk about, right?
Jay was one of the first people that coined that term in the mass consciousness of metabolic flexibilty. When we use BAM, it can improve the ability to switch between fuel sources. So I guess off the top of my head, a good analogy for metabolic flexibility, kind of think of a hybrid car, right? It can run on electricity. It could run gas. If you run out of gas, it can on run electricity, if you ran out electricity you can out a gas it could switch between them very efficiently and very effectively. And when we talk about that in relation to the body, we can use carbohydrates for fuel or we could use that for a fuel.
We can switch those between those very effective. which means that over time our body's gonna be more resilient to stress, to oxidative stress and then ultimately too to be able to burn fat because we can move between these fuel sources. In doing so, it influences signaling pathways related to energy homeostasis. And so for example, uncoupling in tissues like liver and muscle can increase AMPK activation and enhance insulin sensitivity, which contributes to downstream benefits in metabolic disease models.
So again, that's just way of saying that basically we take someone that eating the same amount of food and doing those things. Again, hopefully they're doing them properly and they'll use something like BAM to increase the ability to respond to carbohydrates better, which a lot of people don't respond the carbohydrates, better than they should be able to, and be to burn fat at rest and burn calories at risk. Now, when we look at the applications of this, it sparked a adventure. So it's been studied now, going back 12, 13 years, And when we increase energy expenditure in the body and modulate mitochondrial function as we were doing
with peptides like SLU, like MOTC, SS31, it shows promise for treating metabolic disease, even tissue injuries and certain cancers. So let's look at what this can do. If we look in on the context of obesity, its pretty cool. It's being explored for obesity and related metabolic disorders, increases energy expenditure, and thus can create a calorie deficit without dietary changes, which is pretty cool. Preclinical studies in obese rodents demonstrate that BAM-15 raises metabolic rate and fat burning, leading to reduced adipose and weight loss.
And it's cool because it does this without appetite suppression. Now we all love and know the GLP ones for appetite, suppression, right? A lot of times appetite suppressions, not such a bad thing, but weight reduction from BAM occurs without suppressing appetite or reducing food intake and without causing loss of lean mass or overt side effects like hyperthermia or basically just an increased body temperature. So when we look at BAM, it's pretty cool because one, we're not necessarily reducing our appetite, which again, if we are a leaner person already or we
were trying to retain muscle tissue can be a really cool thing. And obviously the big rub with GLP-1s is that they can cause muscle loss over time. If people are not using them properly, I don't think they cause muscles loss if you're doing everything that I would recommend you to do. But it is a common thing that people run into as they're losing weight. So this is where BAME is pretty. because we're not running into that issue whatsoever, because it's a completely different mechanism. Now, it is not reducing appetite, but at the same time, we are also able to retain muscle tissue.
It also has massive improvements in insulin sensitivity. In diet-induced obese mice, those would be mice that were given a high-fat diet to make them fat. BAM-15 stimulated fat oxidation, it decreased liver fat, and it improved whole body insulin sensitivity and glycemic control. And it effectively reversed obesity and insulin resistance in these rodents, which obviously makes it something that is very attractive to humans, right? Because so many people have non-alcoholic fatty liver disease or they have diabetes or their on the path to getting diabetes.
So when we uncouple mitochondria and tissues like the liver and muscle, BAM helps to dispose of excess nutrients that oftentimes people are taking in too much and lowers harmful lipid accumulation, which could benefit conditions such as type 2 diabetes, non alcoholic fatty, liver, disease, or even just regular fatty. So overall the ability to enhance energy expenditure and improve metabolic flexibility obviously makes it a promising treatment to treat metabolic syndrome, which is, you know, more or less the bane of society's existence today.
Now what's pretty cool is if we take those mechanisms and then we move them over to like, what would be the downstream cascade or effects of those in the body, it gets really cool. So when we look at it in terms of the other benefits, let's address inflammation in body. It exhibits protective effects in acute inflammatory conditions and ischemia, reperfusion, injury, also for sepsis. The uncoupling action that Bama has is beneficial for improving survival, preserving kidney function, and reducing markers of acute injury to the kidneys.
It also mitigates sepsis induced damage by reducing mitochondrial ROS production and preventing the release of mitochondria DNA from stress cells and thereby blunting the inflammatory cascade and protecting, protecting organs. Um, it also acts as a cytoprotective agent in, uh, conditions of acute organ stress, maintaining mitochondrion function and prevent cell death in events such as septic shock, um, or transplant organ storage. And it, also, works to safeguard mitochondria during cellular crisis.
So when we look at just general inflammation in the body, on top of the weight loss benefits it's providing to us downstream from those metabolic benefits comes the anti-inflammatory benefits, which is pretty cool because if you look autoimmune disease, I'm not saying that this would be like the first line defense for auto immune disease. But any of those sort of inflammatory conditions that are so prevalent today, it could really, really help. Now I don't want to spend too much time on this and I'm no expert in this, but it does have some promise in terms of cancer.
And this is just strictly speaking of research. So I am not saying this has anything to do with cancer, that's not what I was saying for the record. However, Some tumors, especially those reliant on mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation, may be vulnerable to mitochondria uncoupling. So BAM can induce metabolic stress and cell death in cancer cells, which makes it a potential treatment option for cancer. There's been a ton of research exploring BAME specifically for tumor immune cells for increased efficacy.
And it may enhance other cancer treatments that you may already be using by sensitizing cancer cell to chemo or activating anti-tumor immune responses. So again, I'm not recommending this as anyone you should. This is for research purposes only. I am not recommended this, but it has been shown to do that in research. It also is cytoprotective again and anti apoptotic properties have shown promise in other systems. like ophthalmology, eye health, and neurodegenerative disorders. So there are a lot of different therapeutic areas that it can provide.
Now, let's kind of go through a timeline of the research. BAM, to the best of my research, that I could find was first identified in 2013. by screening for uncouplers that spare the plasma membrane. Again, we look back to DMP. That's the downside of it. So in cell-based assays, it showed an EC50 of 270Nm for un-coupling mitochondrial respiration of muscle cells. And the early studies confirmed that BAM increases mitochondria oxygen consumption to levels comparable with classic uncuplars like FCCP,
but without the unwanted depolarization of the cell's plasma membranes. So that's what separates BAM from some of these more dangerous ones like FCCP or like DNP. So subsequent structure activity relationship from 2015 described BAME as the prototype of a new uncoupler class and helped establish its chemical profile. skipped over a slide. I hit the arrow too fast sometimes.
There we go. So let's look at the metabolic disease models. This is where it kind of came around 2019, 2020. Some stuff started to come out about it. 2020 study reported that chronic BAM15 treatment reversed high fat diet obesity and insulin resistance in mice like I talked about. leading to weight normalization and improved glucose tolerance. Again, that was while keeping food the same. Another study in 2020 demonstrated that increased energy expenditure and improve glycemic control without reducing food intake and protected mice against
obesity and type 2 diabetes. And it was found in both of these studies to lower fat mass, enhance insulin sensitivity, reduce liver fat, and then also treated mice maintain normal body temperature and lean muscle mass while reversing the obesity that they were induced with, which distinguishes BAM from the hyperthyroidism or muscle wasting that might accompany other weight loss interventions, things that raise core body temperatures like DMP.
So it's pretty cool. Now I know what you guys are probably thinking is like, well, what about GLP ones? How do they fit into this? I think they are, uh, they basically comport. They work together and I can really help. But what is cool is that BAM is working on a completely different pathway than the GLPs ones are doing, um, to enhance fat loss. So it's pretty cool. And again, it is not raising body temperature, the way that GLPS would or can do. and obviously like other agents. So let's look at the inflammation research because as metabolic research was being done on it, it kind of came to find out like,
okay, there could be a benefit for inflammation that's going on in the body. Um, so 2021 study found that BAM attenuated systemic inflammation and an LPS-induced, which is lipopolysaccharide, endotoxemia mouse model, they were given contaminants that cause inflammation. And it showed that BAM acts as an anti-inflammatory agent at the level of macrophages and hepatocytes. 2023 studies showed in a clinically relevant sepsis model that BAM dramatically improved outcomes. Also mice given BAME after a sequel puncture sepcus had a threefold higher seven day survival rate that controls.
So they actually had 75% survival rates as opposed to a 25% survivor rate and significantly less kidney injury. And then the mechanistic analysis in the study linked BAM to reduced mitochondrial ROS and MTDNA released during sepsis, which in turn prevented downstream inflammatory tissue damage from the sebsis. So this kind of shows that BAME has a protective role in acute inflammatory stress and also shows it could be a valuable therapeutic and critical care scenarios where that would be an issue.
Just to kind of go over any other studies were found. So 2019 study demonstrated the BAM protected retinal cells in the eye derived from stem cells against apoptosis caused by environmental stress, which shows that it could be effective in treating ocular disease or macular degeneration. 2022 study reported that Bams uncoupling induced lethal oxidative stress in leukemia cells supporting its potential as an anti-cancer adjunct. 2021 study explored BAM.
A BAM analog illustrating efforts to deliver uncoupler specifically to tumor cells to exploit their metabolic vulnerability. So when we look at this collectively, there is a very, very solid proof of concept that BAME can be both metabolically beneficial for fat loss and organ protective in terms of inflammation, while also providing a favorable safety model in animals and in human findings that we have anecdotally for the last
few years. So, let's just kind of sum up the benefits. One, fat loss. Obviously, that is the holy grail. Fat loss is a holy-grail if we look at fat-loss. That is number one thing that we can do to improve longevity, improve our health over time, and improve how we feel. So BAM enhances calorie burning by uncoupling mitochondrial respiration from ATP production. And this induces fat lost, reduces fat mass without muscle loss or changes in our appetite, which is very key, especially relative to the tools we have access to now.
It also improves insulin sensitivity. So by enhancing mitochondrial function, it helps regulate blood sugar and insulin levels. And then it also lowers liver fat, which is very important because if we look at people that are obese, this is usually one of the main lagging indicators that someone will end up having severe problems, diabetes, heart disease, whatever. Now, let's continue. Let's look at mitochondrial health because that's all the rage, right? So BAM reduces reactive oxygen species production. And I told you that we were going to talk about this a little bit more. We're going even go into more in depth in a second.
But unlike some uncouplers, BAN15 lowers mitochondria oxidative stress instead of raising it. It also prevents mitochondrial dysfunction, so it helps maintain proper mitochondria function, reducing the risk of metabolic disorders and neurodegenerative diseases, which is pretty cool, especially something I think that is on everyone's forefront now in the mind is protecting against dementia and Alzheimer's. And it also protects against cellular damage. So it prevents Mitochondrial DNA damage and cell apoptosis in various models. Then we look at the inflammation immune support.
It reduces systemic inflammation in body. So it's shown perimus and lowering inflammatory markers, especially in conditions like sepsis and metabolic syndrome. Again, we're looking at blood sugar markers. CRP, all those things that indicate that there could be some inflammation going on in the body. And improved survival and sebsis model, so it reduces organ damage and increased survival rate in septic mice by mitigating inflammation and oxidative stress. It also may benefit autoimmune conditions. So by modulating the immune response to the buddy, it has potential applications in immune related diseases, Again, which if you look outside of obesity
is something that is crippling to most people today. And also too, like we talked about with cancer therapy, so it induces a metabolic stress in cancer cells. So some cancer sells rely heavily on mitochondrial function and BAM-15 makes them more vulnerable by disrupting their energy production, it's pretty cool. It also may enhance chemo effectiveness. Again I'm not speaking to chema one way or the other, but early studies suggest that BAME could be used alongside other treatments to weaken cells which is pretty And again, we've got this organ protection, so it protects against ischemic injury.
It helps prevent damage from oxygen deprivation during heart attacks, strokes, or organ transplants. it also supports kidney function. And then it has potential neuroprotective effects. So it may help protect neurons in diseases like Parkinson's or Alzheimer's by improving mitochondrial efficiency to the brain, which is pretty cool. Lastly, everyone's favorite, to kind of sum all of this up, It improves longevity and our anti-aging potential. So it mimics some of the benefits of caloric restriction. Like fasting or calorie restriction, BAM increases energy expenditure and improves metabolic flexibility.
Again, what's for the long haul is good for us. And then also it reduces age-related mitochondrial decline so like I talked about as we age obviously most of the systems in the body deteriorate and they become more and more impaired and so by enhancing mitochondrial efficiency it could potentially slow down age-related metabolic decline. So what I also wanted to do was just provide some key differences between uncouplers. Unlike DMP, BAM increases metabolism without causing dangerous hypothermia or a high body temperature.
It does not depolarize the plasma membrane, so unlike FCCP, bam selectively affects mitochondrial membranes without disrupting overall cellular function. And then it's safe and effective doses. So at the doses that we're talking about, and that are obviously in the products that I will mention or not mention, BAM does not appear to cause toxicity or severe side effects in preclinical models. That is what makes it different. And again, I don't want to scare anyone, but I can't stress this enough that it is different than DNP. We're not having to worry about some of those dangerous side-effects that would with DNPs, especially at those doses we were talking.
What I wanted to go into next, obviously this ties into Metashred, the product, but the synergy between BAM and SLU, because when we use them together, we actually get more bang for our buck out of both of them. So both these are powerful mitochondrial targeted compounds, they have distinct mechanisms of action that when you combine them in a smart way, it could and does create a highly synergistic metabolic modulation effect while minimizing potential drawbacks. So let's look at SLU just in review and talk about BAM.
When we have BEM, this is the uncoupler. BAN uncOUPLES oxidative phosphorylation, allowing protons to leak across the mitochondrial membrane, increasing energy expenditure and reducing mitochondria RRS production. What effect does this have? It enhances fat oxidation. It prevents mitochondrial overloading, and it lowers proton gradient stretch, protecting against excess ROS in the body. And then the risk from this, if there was one, was that it can lead to excessive energy wastage, requiring compensatory metabolic adaptation.
Then the other side, we have SLU. So this is the mitochondria biogenesis and efficiency booster. SL U enhances mitochondrio biogensis, increases ATP production and accelerates electron flow through the electron transport chain. The effect of this is it upregulates mitochondrial function, making energy production more efficient. However, if we do this too much, there is a risk. So the excessive mitochondria activity can lead to overspin, where electron transport is too rapid, which then increases ROS production,
He will get into really high doses of SLU and their whole body will just basically shut down. They feel terrible, they're burnt out. And that's what's going on. I always use the analogy of think about the exhaust from your car. Your car generates energy, which is good, because it gets from one place to another, but it generates exhaust. And if too much exhaust builds up in a small enough place, it's bad, right? Because you're going to choke yourself out. That can be what happens if you are overdosing SLU, or you take too long. Now, why would BAM be good to use alongside of this?
With BAME, we can offset the mitochondrial overspend that can come as a byproduct of using SLU or using it too much. So SLUU ramps up mitochondrial energy production, which increases ATP synthesis. However, too ATP demand can overload the mitochondria. This is that overspend leading to oxidative stress and mitochondrion inefficiency over time. So BAM prevents the mitochondrial overspend by dissipating excess proton gradient buildup and reducing the ROS production that could come from the SLU.
So this results in a finely tuned system where SL you enhances energy efficiency and BAME prevents harmful metabolic stress. So we look at enhanced fat oxidation metabolic adaptation. SOU improves mitochondrial fat-oxidation pathways by up-regulating mitochondria enzymes. BAM amplifies fat oxidization further by increasing energy expenditure leading to greater mobilization of fatty acids And together they create a high energy turnover state where the body constantly uses store fat while preventing mitochondrial overload. So we're literally getting the best of both worlds with these.
If you like SLU, it's going to be even that much better with BAM. We talk about metabolic flexibility. SL U actually improves metabolic efficiency, ensuring mitochondria switch easily between glucose and fat oxidation. which is why it's so good at helping burn fat. And then the BAM helps prevent the bottlenecks, keeping mitochondria from getting stuck in an over reliance on glucose or ATP buildup. So this optimizes ATP availability without excess ROS production, improving performance and endurance. And then we look at mitochondrial damage.
So BAM protects against prolonged mitochondria stress by reducing excessive membrane potential buildup, and then the SLU enhances mitochondrion repair and biogenesis, ensuring damaged mitochondry are replaced with new functional ones. Together, they prolong health of mitochondri and also, too, will slow aging and prevent metabolic disease, which is obviously the cause of aging. Practically speaking, how do we dose these together? So I know everyone probably skipped to this part, right? It's very, very simple. This is the ratio.
And again, shout out to Alex Kickle for helping establish this and helping us formulate this in the product. But bam, we're going to have 50 to 100 milligrams per day. So we'll definitely start on the low end of 50 milligrams. The purpose of this, obviously, to prevent mitochondrial overspend, reduce ROS and enhance energy expenditure. We're gonna take this to the morning or pre-workout to enhance fat oxidation. On the flip side, we go to SLU. We can actually use a much lower dose of SL U because the BAM is helping potentiate it. So we've got 100 to 200 micrograms per day. Now I will say the capsules of Metashred, one capsule has 50 milligrams of BAME and a hundred micro grams of SOU.
One capsule would be that. If you wanted to go the next dose, of two capsuls, it would 100 milligrams BANE, 200 of micro-gram of slu. But the purpose of the SL is to increase mitochondrial efficiency and ATP production. And again, were going to take that at the exact same time. And then if we want to, for further synergy, we could use Motzi five milligrams, three times per brew. You could even do one milligrams every day. you could do five kilograms on the days that you're not taking BAM 15 or on weekends. Um, but that's going to enhance the mitochondrial pair and stress resilience.
Guys don't get so caught up in like, Oh my goodness, I got to take Motzy with this and this, and, this is just an optional add on. You have BAM and sloop together. You're fine. Don't worry about it. Again, these are like next level things that you can do. And I would say experiment with yourself to figure out what works best for you. I also might recommend using Metformin 1000 to 2000 milligrams per day to further optimize glucose disposal and insulin sensitivity. Then also injectable L-Carnitine, one of my favorites, One of the staples that I use all the time. in 500 milligrams per day to increase fatty acid transport into mitochondria for enhanced oxidation.
So again, the L-carnitine when we inject it is going to work that much better to help the BAM and SLUDE do what they are doing best, which is to burn fat. When we look at this together, SLU amplifies mitochondrial energy production. BAME ensures energy demand doesn't create the excess oxidative stress. Together they create a high energy, high fat oxidation and metabolically efficient state in the body, leading to greater endurance, metabolic health and longevity. It's great for biohackers, athletes, and those aiming for peak metabolic function while avoiding mitochondrial damage.
So it really, really is, I think, the holy grail. Now, what I did here at the end is just put together a safe use checklist. Again, you have nothing to worry about. And I will say in terms of the protocol, literally just get Metashred and start with one capsule a day. You can go up from there, or you can start moving towards two capsules a if you're a larger person. And then I would say you're probably going to top out around four to five capsules a day, but don't start with that. Don't with start at one capsule per day. Move to two capsuls and then see where you can go from there, But don' take more than four or five.
So here is my one page checklist for safely using Bam and Sloop to get the best benefits without the side effects. How do we know if we're taking too much ma'am? Fatigue or low energy, unexplained weight or muscle loss. Again, these aren't something, but if we're taking too much, it could be. We could feel cold or have excessive sweating, which would just be metabolic imbalance. Increased hunger or cravings. You're probably going to have a little bit more hunger because you're burning more, like I'm talking like through the roof. Dizziness or headaches which could come from low blood sugar and an elevated heart rate at rest, 10 to 15 beats per minute increase.
Now, I will say you may or may not have an experience in an increased heart rate right away, but your body is going through a metabolic shift or metabolic adaptation period, and it should, within a week or two, come back down. So again, you're probably going to have a elevated heartrate within the first few days or the 1st week, or 2. But if it comes back, down you should be fine. If this is prolonged over a period of time, then you are probably doing too much. So things you can look at is body temperature, liver enzymes, blood glucose, and serum lactate. And then if we're looking at SLU, you guys are probably more familiar with this.
How do we know we are taking too much SL U and how do know to walk back down the dose? We could be restless, have jitters, or feel overstimulated. We can have muscle tightness or cramps. This is something I dealt with. The higher the dosage, the more you deal with cramp. You could feel this brain fog or talking of fatigue. I know a lot of people experience that. They start taking to high dose of SL. They just feel like a brain fog and they can't think properly. We could have joint pain or inflammation from the ROS buildup and then slower recovery after workout. So things to watch for that would be C-reactive protein, oxidative stress markers, serum ammonia, and the kidney function on our BUN or creatinine that
will be on the blood work. And then when we're taking meta-shred, what do we look at? So if you're using both of these together, as I would recommend you to do, look out for this. So look for chronic fatigue despite high metabolism. If you are short of breath or have a rapid heart rate, again, you probably taking too much. Heart palpitations or arrhythmias from electrolyte depletion. And I actually want to take a second to address that. Whether it's BAM, meta shred, SLU, whatever it is, or even a GLP-1, so many people are like, oh, I take 10, units which would you know however much I've
read a true tide let's just say you take 250 micrograms read true time my heart rate goes to the roof a lot of times when we are increasing our metabolism we're depleting electrolytes at a faster rate and I know and i know that even people say it they are dehydrated they say i drink enough water they said get enough electrolyte oftentimes they do not to begin with and then we increase metabolism and it's even that much worse and pronounced and that's what causes these heart palpitations or arrhythmias. So I cannot stress that enough. There's one thing I could always impart to people with peptide use in general. Please, please, go above and beyond whatever you think you need for electrolytes because you're going to need probably that Obviously,
we can have GI distress from gut permeability issues. So what to look out for? Keep an eye on thyroid function, lipid peroxidation, and then electrolyte imbalance. Obviously that's something important. This would be indicated by cramping, brain fog, fatigue, feeling crashed out in the afternoon. Again, a lot of times, That is electrolyte imbalance. Obviously the heart palpitations are the, you know, kind of like highest form of the electrolytes imbalance, so how to stay safe. Start with low doses. So like I said, start with one capsule, maybe two capsules if you're a bigger person and avoid maxing out both at once.
Cycle the usage. I'm not going to sit here and tell you take four weeks on, take eight weeks off. Everyone has a different use case based on whatever is going on in their life that you're trying to do. So if you are preparing for a fitness show, you might need it for 16 weeks at a time and that's okay. If you just trying lose five pounds, use it a month, six weeks, eight weeks whatever and lose the five-pounds that your need. Or if you're just looking for longevity purposes, use it for four weeks. Take two weeks off. Use it four eight weeks, take four week off, four days on, three days off be smart about how you do it.
At the end of the day though, don't take this every single day. Add infinitum. Be smart how to do. Obviously use a hydration electrolyte, magnesium, potassium, sodium are very, very important. Again, I can't stress that enough. And then obviously support mitochondria. So on the backside of this, this is something I would be doing that I run in the background. It's very simple. Does not have to be complicated. You do not to go crazy. Not have be taking a thousand different supplements. When you're doing this. The only adjuncts that, I think you really probably should always have in. Urolithin A, one to two grams, two times per week.
Very easy. Injectable glutathione. I you should be this anyway. 100 to 200 milligrams, 2 times a week, very easy to an intramuscular injection of glutothione 100, 200 milligrams, two times a week, you should be good. Everyone should doing that anyway. And then carbon-60, one of my favorites, 1 teaspoon per day, that's also another antioxidant. So when we look at these, whenever we're doing this, whatever we are stimulating mitochondria, just be conscious of the ROS effect. Again, the BAM mitigates that pretty much entirely, but I still want to be doing these things to help support mitochondrial health.
That is it for the slides. And that is at this moment in time, everything we know about BAM15. So hopefully that was helpful to you. Hopefully that kind of informs your usage of MetaShred or whatever BAAAM product that you can get your hands on now because it is harder to find. But I'm really, really excited about this. At the time of this video, I've just started it and started BAAAAAM 15 because I just got my hands-on some because like you guys have been waiting on this and it really really is amazing. I am excited to see like over the next four to six weeks and I m sure we're going to be doing plenty of updates.
on live streams and more videos to come about the benefits of it. But the thing in the context of doing everything that we do, one, I love this because it's an oral capsule. We don't have to have basically an injection to do which obviously prevents many people from experiencing all the amazing benefits of so much of what I talk about. So that's pretty cool. And also too, it's going to be enhancing SLU and getting more bang for a buck out of that. We really do live in an amazing time and we're just in the forefront and infancy of things like this coming out.
There's gonna be so many more that comes out, but for right now, I think this is amazing that we have access to these things. So we'll see where it goes. I can't wait to get this in the hands of more and more people. Obviously this is for research purposes only, but as more more, people begin to research for themselves, I Can't Wait to see what it does to improve inflammation in body to, improve fat loss that most people need so desperately. and see how it makes a difference in their lives.
